Very disappointing
"Shore excursion desk the staff looked like don’t bother me and go away Wifi unacceptable Food compared to Mariner was terrible, i think the chef and food director were trying to get a big bonus by saving on food cost and used the cheapest ingredients on everything.Once onboard 1 was cancelled and 2 more moved from morning to afternoon which we like to be back on ship early so we cancelled them and had no excursions in 3 ports Many other things unacceptable also but this cruise felt like being back on a Royal Caribbean or carnival cruise line that would cost 10x less in..."Read More

Luxury Lost at Sea: Disappointment and Disarray

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

As I reflect on the first four days of what was supposed to be a luxurious experience aboard the Regent Seven Seas Voyager, my disappointment is palpable. Here's an update on the cascade of issues we've encountered: Delayed Start: We were informed just after 9 PM the night before departure that the ship had mechanical issues, causing a day's delay. This communication was not only last-minute ...

Bad start, ship delayed by one dat technical problem. We had a one night stay in a hotel but we had to change hotel the next day, breakfast only and therefore we paid over 100 euros for meals, no refund We were eventually transferred to the ship and waited 4.5 hours in the cruise terminal until embarkation We were then informed that 3 ports Rome, Sorento and Santorini were not going to ...

Just a complete nightmare

This cruise was absolutely the worse scenario you could ever experience. The ship broke leaving the port prior to Barcelona, our embarkation point. This resulted in a twenty four delay. Many of us were bussed to a small town south of Barcelona for a "complimentary" night with very little guidance on what to expect. We sat in the lobby for hours the next day waiting for a bus. We waited more hours ...

I notice a number of people posted pre cruise that they were disappointed not seeing Capri or Sorrento. But were happy to try Palermo I wounded if like me how unhappy they are now having missed both Palermo and Santorini due to Voyager breaking down prior to arriving in Barcelona and having to spent 2 days at sea so that Regent could catch up with its Schedule I also hope they were as ...

We were on the recent ill-fated cruise that had to return to port due to mechanical difficulties. Earlier in the cruise, we had already identified shortcomings in cabin cleaniness, mediocre food, and lame excursions that were very disappointing (we did not travel to that distance to be "treated" to a tour of a golf course, taken to markets but not given any time to shop and told that we couldn't ...

Disappointing Experience Aboard the Regent Voyager

I recently embarked on a voyage from Lisbon to Barcelona aboard the Regent Voyager, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the staff aboard the ship were undeniably friendly and attentive, the overall condition of the vessel and the handling of unexpected situations left a lot to be desired. Let's start with the accommodations. My wife and I stayed in a suite on the 8th ...

Voyager not up to scratch.

This was our first Regent cruise and we were so excited being a reputed 6 star cruise ship. Unfortunately this was not the case. Embarkation was a bit of a fiasco in Rio. Our cases left our hotel at 9 in the morning and although we boarded the ship around 1.00 our cases did not materialise until around 4.0 p.m. We had a penthouse suite which was lovely but there was a big stain on the carpet ...

Disappointing

This was my first time to cruise with Regent and was unimpressed. On the whole the service was good but felt they had a lot of new staff being trained. The suite was a good size, as was the bathroom, separate shower and a full size bath which unfortunately was too narrow to use. The floor leaked and they seemed to have no idea how to rectify it. We eventually had to change suites as ...

Regent Disappoints

First time Regent clients here and thoroughly disappointed. The Penthouse suite we stayed in was very nice, but also tired. The Butler service overhyped and unnecessary in our opinion - just canapés delivered daily and a mini bar also topped up daily - only it wasn’t and required reminders. The vast majority of their waiting staff and all of the housekeeping teams were fabulous. The reception ...

After having a wonderful cruise on the Mariner in June we decided we wanted to book Regent again and what a complete difference between the 2 cruises Most of the staff was very miserable, hardly any staff ever smiled.
