We chose this cruise as a 70 birthday present to each other. 26 night cruise including the Amazon. Booked a conceige cabin, so had a pre- cruise hotel. Lovely room but stuck in a residential area, long queue to check and poor luke warm breakfast. Never had such a long wait to board, even had a wait to even join the queue. Navigator is the oldest and smallest of the RSS fleet. Being so small meant it could sail on the Amazon, although we were stuck on a sandbank for several hours.

November 25,2018 to the Amazon Very enjoyable, but would not say that the Amazon is interesting.Just another muddy river with very little of interest.
In spite of this, the cruise and ports in the caribbean are OK. Ship nice,very clean and welcoming.. We are not entertainment or late night types so the quality of show is not applicable to us.o us.

This was my first Regent cruise. It was chosen for its itinerary and except for one stop, it was wonderful.
PROS:
Smaller ship means smaller number of passengers, easier to maneuver on board.
Crew was exceptional. Everyone, from tender attendants to officers were pleasant and engaged with the guests. They truly made you feel welcomed and special.

We had booked a suite high and forward to limit the effects of the vibrations, i was surprised, not bad at all.
The ship is smaller so it took me a while to get adjusted to the ceiling height and general smallness of the ship, it needs refreshing and i heard it was due in the near future.

Ports of call were good - not excellent! Why stop at locations that have nothing to offer? An example woud be Hilo, Hawaii.
The destination personnel were not well trained. Priority guests were not treated like priorities! In most situations - waitlist was an imaginary item.

Despite missing Bermuda and adding a day in New York and an extra sea day, this cruise was very nice. The service was excellent. The tours were well organized. We choose this cruise because of the itinerary , Panama Canal , Costa Rica , Guatemala , all those countries we haven't been ..and who are very interesting .
The cabins are not very spacious , but correct .
No need to take a Penthouse class , anyway the area is exactly the same , it's only the situation on the ship that differs , and you get the help of a butler .

Regent offered the best itinerary and time of the Amazon River...hence we booked it!
A careful evaluation on our return home leaves me with the following comments:
The best..."all-inclusive" means just that...you pay for nothing - wifi, shore excursions, specialty restaurants, booze, friendliness of the crew, gratuities...nothing!
