Review for Seven Seas Mariner to Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We enjoyed pretty much everything about this cruise. The itinerary, the service, the food, the land arrangements, our cabin, our friends we went with and the people we met. That said, I'll mention a few places RSSC can improve. There was a major SNAFU in Ravenna, Italy. The actual arrangements (shuttle to town) weren't bad, weren't great, but the INFO given to passengers on the dock was ...

This was only our second cruise. Our first was with P&O and although this cruise was far more expensive, as they say, you get what you pay for. What was really impressive was the way embarkation, tours and disembarkation was managed, it was all very well organised. All the staff, without exception, were friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Being "all inclusive" it was really nice to ...

Great trip, but the ship was very understaffed.

We are long time Regent cruisers and do enjoy our trips. We have always enjoyed the excellent service and food. This year there was an obvious problem with the service. The current staff was wonderful and worked very hard but they needed more help. Some examples We had breakfast every morning in Veranda. We ordered cappuccino every day and it never was delivered until we had finished ...

Seven Seas Mariner has gone downhill

This was our 6th cruise with Regent Seven Seas and it may well be the last. What was once a high end luxurious cruising experience has now been diminished to cost cutting. The service, the cuisine, the excursions are all sub-par now. For example, although most regular excursions are "free" we wanted a more memorable experience and so paid over $600 a person for the "Private View of the ...

I recently returned from a 10-day Mediterranean Rome-Venice cruise. It met all my expectations and was a delightful and memorable experience. I have only a few complaints and none of them ruined my vacation. The best part of the trip was the service. I wanted for nothing during the trip. My cabin steward brought me everything I needed. You could have anything delivered by room service. If ...

Major Disappointment

These are some sad experiences on this year’s July cruise. The butler appeared to be under extreme pressure at times and here are just some of the issues: iPad. We asked whether we could have some music in our suite and he said that iPads were not available however two days later he delivered one to us. We asked for some videos and he told us they were available at reception. The ...

TOO MANY CHILDREN

I have just been reading the advice on avoiding trips with children. The advice given is no guarantee as we found out and though a couple of years ago I thought I would share. We are keen to cruise again but our last experience made us wary. We booked Regent Seven Seas and it didn't occur to us that people would bring youngsters - to be fair they were mostly probably 10 & above. Mostly they were ...

My wife and I travelled with friends on the seven seas mariner cruise that our valued travel agent recommended and advised us on . We were told that this ship is a true "six star" ship recently renovated and up to the best of them at the moment. We were very pleased with all the facilities and our stateroom was definitely comfortable and well appointed . We have no complaints about ...

First Cruise on Mariner

This was our second cruise on Regent, but our first on Mariner. We went to the Baltic last year on Voyager, and enjoyed it so much that we bought a future cruise certificate. We chose to use it on this 10 day Barcelona roundtrip because of the itinerary. It concentrated on the Riviera, and went to a lot of places that we haven't seen before (Antibes, St. Tropez, Portofino, Sardinia and Corsica). ...

Big Hype but Bad Experience

As a frequent cruise enthusiast I was happy to travel for the first time with Regent, which had been touted as one of the best. The initial online experience with booking specialty restaurants and excursions was good but I was unable to book the spa for the days at sea when the facility tends to be more crowded. The advice given was to arrive early at the ship and head right for the spa for ...
