We chose this cruise for a late-Winter getaway to the Western Caribbean as a great way to evaluate the all-inclusive nature of Regent. We were not disappointed at all. The accommodations are very nice (especially after getting bumped up two levels), the food is very good, and the crew is exemplary! Landed in Miami the day before sailing and Regent set us up in a very nice luxury hotel for the night. Breakfast in the morning was with other people embarking on the cruise and allowed us to meet a few new couples that we would see again aboard. We explored downtown Miami in the morning and then headed back to the hotel to catch the bus to the port that Regent had arranged.

We booked this cruise line on the expectation of a beautiful,new ship and the level a service and attention that we experienced on Regent in past years. I researched the small luxury cruise market for a year. All of them. On advice from an advisor, I took a deep dive in Regent and with excursions included we concluded this was the best value proposition.
Having been with Silver Sea (and loving it), the a' la carte excursions were a budget ding we didn't appreciate since they were totally uncoordinated with the boat.

We chose this cruise to escape from the harsh NYC winter, check out the much-touted Explorer and celebrate our anniversary. Was on Regent last year for Eastern Caribbean and luckily did not repeat(tired of it been doing for too many winters now ) as the hurricane had ruined all the eastern ports. Interesting ports...still like the eastern itinerary ..better, Too old to go snorkling and do water sports.
