"So in conclusion a great boat, looking slightly worn in places, but still impressive, overall decent attentive friendly staff, evidence of cutting back on food quality but the massive negative was appalling standards on Excursions a complete failure of management quality control. We were going to book another Regent Cruise whilst on board but now we are not so sure now...."Read More

Had a great time on our first regent Cruise. The food and service were both excellent. We did miss not having a buffet available at dinner time.
Loved the Meridian Lounge with the many choices of craft cocktails.
The excursions were all very good. The only one we paid for was the trip to Hakone NP in Tokyo. Unfortunately, it was the worst weather day we had on the whole trip and we were ...
First time with Regent. Lovely ship and great cruise from Bali to Sydney. Cyclone went thru Cairns so all excursions cancelled at that port. Downgraded to category 1 so we really had no effects while at sea. Have cruised over a dozen times with others lines, first time with Regent. Nicest and largest room ever, plenty of storage, great room service except when we had to quarantine for 12 ...
We had previously been on Regent Cruises, the last on the Splendour and splendid it was. Sadly our enthusiasm for Regent was curbed somewhat when full of expectation, we boarded the Explorer touted by Region as the worlds most expensive cruise ship. The checking in was a disaster with guests having to queue for 2-3 hours to get their boarding passes on be allowed onto the cruise.
Once on board ...
14 Night Tokyo to Bangkok cruise on Seven Seas Explorer - in F1 Superior Suite single occupancy.
First time on Regent and chose this cruise for the port variety. Demographic was as you would expect at this price point - over 65, with a real mixture of nationalities - large group of Australians, some New Zealanders and Canadians, good numbers from the UK and Europe, a few from Asia and the ...
We sailed northbound to Seward on Explorer, departing Vancouver. Loved Vancouver as a port; should have done this cruise in opposite direction. The ship is beautiful and well-designed. Pre-cruise package included a night at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, which was gorgeous and had excellent food and service. Transfer of luggage to ship worked seamlessly. We were able to begin boarding the ship at ...
This was a 10-day itinerary around Japan, and we stayed aboard for nearly three weeks after while the ship sailed across the North Pacific, through the Aleutians and down the Inner Passage to Vancouver.
Excellent cabin, restaurant, and cruise director staff. Entertainment & onboard speakers good (especially Gloeta, the Naturalist).
We booked both Regent's pre-cruise "Vibrant Tokyo" package ...
We chose this cruise so that both my wife & I could experience some places neither of us have been before, and I could revisit a few ports/experiences I enjoyed just under 50 years ago when I was in the Navy.
Embarkation in Tokyo was interesting. Well done, but extremely unique. At the pristine Tokyo Cruise Terminal, we were first received in a large open room where, behind folding tables, ...
This was our first cruise on RSSC Explorer and we were hoping it would live up to it's 6 star rating. Unfortunately it did not. However, we did enjoy the ship, the food and the entertainment ( leaving aside the comedian).
We booked the 3 day pre cruise in Singapore and I for one enjoyed myself not having been to Singapore in 20 years, so much has changed and so much more to see. Marina Bay ...
On our first evening in suite 844 the vibration was dreadful. The entire bathroom vibrated, as did the bedroom. Worst of all was the bed vibrating. Our entire bodies shook. It was distressing and made us both feel almost sick. First thing in the morning my husband reported the matter, but somehow it was not seen as a complaint! After three visits to reception, we eventually got a member of ...
Overall, I (solo traveler) had a nice time. However, midway through the cruise I went to the Observation Lounge for a drink after dinner. The server came over to take my order, but then reminded me of the dress code (see below). I was extremely confused as I was wearing a white blouse, black skirt, and heels. I asked him to clarify, but he just repeated himself. After bringing me my drink, I felt ...
