Poor Customer Service and Value, but Nice Itinerary with Good People

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Seven Seas Splendor

Introduction There were many wonder experiences on the trip, including arrangements for renewal vows for our guests during the cruise by the captain of the ship, but we were disappointed in the overall value due to the misleading advertising of “luxury perfected” by Regent. I booked my hotels and flights independent of the cruise line on all of our previous cruise experiences with other ...

Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...

Two years ago, my wife and I with three other couples enjoyed a GREAT cruise on this ship. Accordingly, another couple and ourselves chose to repeat our positive previous experience with this 16 day cruise. Spoiler Alert- Big big MISTAKE! Very little worked on this so called "Luxury Experience" . It is quite obvious that the "bean counters" at Regent have decided to squeeze every single ...

We were on the Regent Seven Seas Voyager for the 10-day Western Caribbean including Cuba. This was our first cruise with Regent and will likely be our last. We wanted to try out Regent (along with other upscale/luxury cruise lines) after cruising with many others. This was our 49th cruise overall. We have cruised on Seabourn several times and most of my comparisons are with Seabourn, ...

Ports of call were good - not excellent! Why stop at locations that have nothing to offer? An example woud be Hilo, Hawaii. The destination personnel were not well trained. Priority guests were not treated like priorities! In most situations - waitlist was an imaginary item. Basically I would say the ship personnel were very friendly and dedicated employees. Upper management needs to ...

We wanted a luxury cruise on a smaller ship with excellent service and good food. We had only cruised on Oceania before and thought that this line would be comparable. We were sorely mistaken. Arranging air travel was difficult. Their agents wanted to do nothing about changing seats or upgrading. The ship was tired and dated. The furniture in the cabin was stained and scuffed. The ship is going ...

The best of the best new ship.... Luxury "All Inclusive" Every part of the cruise from the beginning up until the last 2 days. 14 day cruise. here is why this is important and relevant. 1. The "cruise consultant" was very terse and abrupt. this was the person responsible for booking future cruises. i was so excited about this cruise. *(grand suite, spent more than $50,000 for 14 days ...

We've chosen this trip because of the places to visit. We cruised before with Princess and Crystal and were very satisfied. This time we decided to "upgrade" and also liked the itinerary. Unfortunately, will never recommend Regent cruise line or use it again: service is very mediocre: staff is pleasant, smiling but not very helpful: either language barrier or lack of knowledge. The food ...

We were first time REGENT cruisers, although we have cruised MANY times before on Celebrity, Princess, Azamarra, etc......This was a 18-night "Panama Canal" cruise that started in SF on July 20 and ended up in Miami.on Aug 7. Ship was very small and intimate, nicely refurbished. Cabin was VERY large and very well designed, but we were on the 8th deck in Cabin 868 and the vibrations from the ...

What a horrible experience taking the Regent Explorer to the Caribbean, Mar 6-16, 2017. To begin with, our plane was late in getting to Miami. Once we cabbed it to the pier, there was no sign staytng Regent Terminal. Luckily, we found a security guard who unlocked the door and we carted our luggage to the ships reception area. The ship had been notified every 10 minutes regarding our late ...
