My wife and I are relatively new to cruising having taken just two cruises before this one. This was our first time on a premium line like Regent. We had a blast!
First, the ship. It is only a few months old and it is simply magnificent. Every detail was well thought out and well executed. The focal point of the ship is the cental atrium which is an elegant multi-story space where all the ...
When the Explorer started sailing we thought it was wonderful and enjoyed several sailings. After waiting 2 years we due to covid we sailing the new Splendor. A definite WOW. Surpassed the Explorer in all categories. The decor is elegant and relaxing too. The perfect ship to sail across the Atlantic.
Although I give an excellent rating, I must state that due to covid rules in Miami and our ...
Even though we had not been on the ship in three years due to the pandemic, very little had changed. Some of our favorite maitre'd's and servers had moved on to the Splendor as promotions or at their request. Service is still spectacular.
Not a cruise for singles. It is an older crowd and most folks are married or coupled. Guests from across the globe made this an interesting experience. ...
A HUGE thanks to Regent and especially the crew of the RSSC Splendor - some of whom hadn’t been off the ship since July-21 - for a lovely return to cruising. Our last cruise was in Jan/Feb-20 on the RSSC Explorer. This one had been booked for Jan-21.
Despite the backdrop of the latest manifestation of Covid - Omicron - from start to finish we felt safer on Splendor than back food shopping in ...
The cruise business has been hit hard in the era of Covid. The fleet has been moth-balled and the staff reassigned or employed elsewhere for many months.
I am scratching my head and trying to figure out how after this long hiatus, that the staff of Seven Seas Splendor was able to deliver a truly flawless experience.
The ship was impeccable. The staff was remarkable. Every employee ...
We don't like Nov so we get away to the south where the sun shines at least a bit most days.
We were on the Explorer for 24 days and at the Biltmore for another. ( They don't count this day as a cruise day).
The included pre-cruise stay at the Biltmore was fine. The hotel is far from downtown but the public spaces at least are spectacular. There are wonderful old large Florida houses in the ...
The executive summary: We had a great time on the Explorer and found the crew and ship to be exceptional. While there were things that could have been done better, overall, the entire cruise was excellent.
We were excited to get on board this 24 day cruise after so long off the sea. We are in our 50's and recently retired providing us the ability to take longer journeys. We were first time ...
We chose this cruise for a late-Winter getaway to the Western Caribbean as a great way to evaluate the all-inclusive nature of Regent. We were not disappointed at all. The accommodations are very nice (especially after getting bumped up two levels), the food is very good, and the crew is exemplary! The Coronavirus was just getting a foothold in the USA and Regent was surprisingly well prepared. ...
Landed in Miami the day before sailing and Regent set us up in a very nice luxury hotel for the night. Breakfast in the morning was with other people embarking on the cruise and allowed us to meet a few new couples that we would see again aboard. We explored downtown Miami in the morning and then headed back to the hotel to catch the bus to the port that Regent had arranged.
Embarkation ...
> We have cruised many times but this was our first Regent cruise.
> We drove to Miami, and the afternoon before we were to embark we got a message from our travel agent that we were no longer going out of Terminal J, but rather terminal F. So the closest parking was parking garage G which was a bit of a walk to our terminal but very doable with the nice weather we had at boarding.
