We had picked this cruise for the itinerary, but were a little wary about Regent after having made an itinerary choice on another NCL line (Oceania) last year and been badly let down. I was concerned that Regent would be an "all inclusive" version of Oceania, but I was very happily completely wrong. Aside from the quirks dealing with 'Miami" beforehand (I suspect that all NCL brand passengers ...
While there are many rusted on Regent Seven Seas (RSS) cruisers who’ll forgive any sin, beware if you don’t fall into that category. RSS is for you if you’re happy with average casino/club food masquerading as fine dining, stage troupe shows a high school would be embarrassed to put on, & a patronising juvenile approach to passenger announcements/liaison that’s more fit for a kindergarten than ...
Let me first state that the previous commenter did not exaggerate at all. As a matter of fact he was kind to give our cruise a two rating, but I stand by my one rating.
We are Platinum member of the RSS Society, with many wonderful cruises and experiences with this cruise line. We are only 40 days away from Titanium level. And we have booked 3 future cruises with Regent. That said, we loved ...
Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...
We signed up for this cruise in 2020. We hoped by end of Oct. 2022 things with Covid would have settled down. Since this was to be our 6th Regent cruise, 2nd on Explorer, we believed the tours would be very good and safe. We believed we needed to be careful in many parts or the world now. Especially since we are in our seventies and walk a bit slower. We believed Regen would take good care of us ...
In Autumn 2018 we travelled from Athens to Dubai on Seabourn. For Fall 2019 my wife wanted us to complete the journey, starting in Dubai and ending in Singapore. So we picked Regent's Voyager for that 20 day journey, beginning November 16, 2019.
A bit about us: we are later middle-aged, and one of us still works with, happily, a generous vacation allotment which allows usually two cruises ...
We chose this cruise as it had an interesting itinerary and we were interested in hearing the on board speakers from Frontline America TV who were all excellent in every way
We found the ship very dated and in need of an upgrade
The food in all restaurants was of high quality
The selection of wines was very good
The entertainment was of normal standard on board
The service was ...
We chose this cruise as we had previously cruised on Regent Seven Seas Voyager and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately we found that it did not live up to our expectations.
The food in La Veranda was average, Compass Rose was better and the service good but unfortunately we were very disappointed in Sette Mari which was our favourite on our previous cruise. The specialty restaurants were okay ...
My wife and I have been to most of Europe and South America, but never to Southeast Asia. We had sailed on the Voyager about five years ago and were eager to set it since its refurbishment in 2016, and a cruise from Bali to Hong Kong looked good. It was!
The ship looks wonderful, and our cabin (853) was beautiful in an excellent location. The cabin attendant kept it looking clean and fresh ...
This is our fourth Regent cruise and first on the Voyager. We took the pre cruise tour to Chiang Mai. The air included was basic economy and when we arrived in Chiang Mai the tours were decent. The dinner we were served with local dance was not a Thai dinner. Getting back to Bangkok and to the ship was efficient but we arrived to the ship just prior to setting sail.
Our room was across from ...
