This was our first Regent cruise. We have previously sailed with Viking,Virgin, Celebrity, Holland, MSC, NcL and Carnival mostly in suites. We are childless couple in our sixties and started cruising in 2018.
We are active and enjoy great food and drink. We always enjoy ourselves.
This cruise was disappointing from the very start. The ship is older but not well maintained. The crew was ...
The highlight of this cruise was to visit Jamestown, however after only two hours at anchor at St. Helena, the captain set sail for 6 days at sea saying we could not tender in. The ocean was calm but you could see waves crashing against the wharf. I queried why we could have not waited until afternoon to see if the waves would have subsided and his response was that there wasn’t enough time in ...
We were under the impression that Regent was a luxury cruise line and we wanted to try it .Oh what a mistake that was
We tried to be positive but found the food very hit or miss throughout the ship,we never truly experienced a really memorable meal
The poor service was clearly down to poorly trained and shortage of staff
The excursions provided by Regent that we booked on were an absolute ...
Let me first state that the previous commenter did not exaggerate at all. As a matter of fact he was kind to give our cruise a two rating, but I stand by my one rating.
We are Platinum member of the RSS Society, with many wonderful cruises and experiences with this cruise line. We are only 40 days away from Titanium level. And we have booked 3 future cruises with Regent. That said, we loved ...
We chose Regent because of reputation, word-of-mouth, travel agent recommendation and I wanted to do something special for my wife's 70th.
Our strongest possible advice if you are considering Regent for your next sailing is to look at anyone else first - particularly perhaps Silversea or any other decent line.
Regent are a thing of the past.
Dreadful pre-cruise organization of travel and ...
That’s the sound of our hopes and dreams crashing…we had anticipated this trip for several years. Regents promises (taken from its website” exquisite meals, refined service and exhilarating shore excursions” but we found it was anything but.
The rooms in the boat are very nice, but that’s where the luxury stops. The food was not up to standard and the tours were not well thought out; it ...
This cruise was the worse. Can you believe the ship actually shut down and no power at 3a. No word from the Bridge, nothing for 4 hours. And then a pathetic apology and nothing more. Breakfast was only cold food and coffee was delayed by an hour. This was totally glossed over by the ship and crew.
Cabin was well worn and certainly not worth the cost. Many stains on the bathroom floor. ...
My wife and I are cruisers of 20 years and this was our first time on Regent. We chose back-to-back cruises in the Eastern Med in a Mariner suite and we were extremely disappointed by our experience. The ship, the dining, the entertainment were all painfully average, but the trip was totally marred by housekeeping issues. A stain on a sheet on the first night was changed quickly and efficiently. ...
We have previously had two excellent cruises on Regent Voyager and have recommended the line to friends. We chose this cruise in Alaska which included the Rocky Mountaineer train. A similar cruise with Silversea departed on similar dates, we now wish we’d chosen that one….
The Rocky Mountaineer element was excellent, made more so by the two charming and hyper-efficient ladies from Regents UK ...
We took this cruise because of the ports and the unique itinerary, sailing from Miami to Montreal. We were excited because the excursions were included, so we didn’t have to arrange them ourselves. Before the ship left Miami, the Great Stirrup Cay port was cancelled, as well as Fernandina Beach, and Freeport, Bahamas and Jacksonville, FL were substituted. Freeport was a rundown port, and the ...
