There were several ups and downs. Ours was not a luxury experience.
We were not on the transfer list for the prepaid ride from the airport to the hotel. Took a taxi and had to hagle with ship crew to get reimbursed.
The hotel, Tahiti Pearl, was in a beautiful spot but I would put it on par with a Best Western with a view
Embarkation was the worst I have ever experinced. We waited in ...
We had been on Regent Seven Seas Navigator before and had a great cruise. Everything was perfect, so when this cruise came up from Miami to Miami on Mariner into the Amazon, we booked the trip and looked so much forward to go. But already the first evening there was problems to go into the restaurant. They didn't have enough seat for people and we had to wait, for quite some time. It happened more ...
This was our first cruise on a Regent Seven Seas ship. We've been cruising for over 30 years and have a lot of experience. Overall we enjoyed the experience on the Mariner, but would not likely sail on her again until she's been to dry dock for a refit and some needed repairs. This is an old ship and it's got some mechanical issues that will probably continue to haunt it until it gets dry ...
I was invited by a group of travelers who get together and go somewhere every year. I was excited about going on this cruise mostly because I wanted to cruise up the East coast and Canada and had never sailed with Regent. We all booked veranda/suites 16 in total. The ship was small in comparison, well maintained and clean. The staff from the Captain down was very friendly, accessible and ...
We are a young 70s couple with 10 Seabourn cruises and several Silver Seas and Tauck cruises under our belt. We chose this cruise pretty much because it was available with a superior suite (Navigator Suite) when Seabourn was sold out. Also, Regent sports itself as "Ultra Luxury" so we though we would give it a try.
First the pre-night hotel stay. The Hilton was awful! Pretty beach but ...
This was our first cruise with Regent. We've travelled with Viking, Windstar, Poinant, and others. The Navigator cruise from Barbados to Barbados looked like a nice itinerary. The cruise itself was very nice and the crew and food were great, on a par with Viking. There were a couple of issues shouldn't have happened on Regent.
The main issue was the absolutely chaotic transfer from the ...
I'm not great with big crowds so we decided for our first cruise we would go with a smaller ship (which I am glad we did) and as I like quality the Seven Seas Navigator seemed like a good choice. We were originally touring the Caribbean in 2020 but the pandemic stopped that so this was our rescheduled attempt. Organising the cruise was easy and we got good advice from the rep in the U.K. ...
I ended up on this cruise because my parents were booked on it and I elected to join them in a cabin for three. I'm 60 and my folks are in their 80s so we like different things.
The good:
* The staff were exceedingly friendly, patient and professional. I hope they are well-paid because they deserve to be.
* The entertainment, surprisingly, was great. It wasn't just the crew doing ...
I chose this as I have cruised on Silversea and Crystal and wanted to see what Regent was like. I expected the "remarkable luxury" as stated by Regent-- which may have been an over expectation. It turned out to be no where fulfilled. I booked a penthouse Suite which included a pre cruise hotel stay. Regrettably my hotel room was dirty and all Regent guests were not given the a la carte breakfast ...
We chose this cruise/cruise line because RSSC has a great reputation, people recommended it; and we've never been to most of the ports. The ship: old, but beautifully updated. Nothing was dirty or stained or worn. Very clean. From public spaces to rooms. Nice touch the walk-in closet. I'm not sure any other cruise line offers this. Butler service was great but we found we really ...
