Not a luxury experience

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

This was our first Regent cruise. We have previously sailed with Viking,Virgin, Celebrity, Holland, MSC, NcL and Carnival mostly in suites. We are childless couple in our sixties and started cruising in 2018. We are active and enjoy great food and drink. We always enjoy ourselves. This cruise was disappointing from the very start. The ship is older but not well maintained. The crew was ...

Six-star cruise line, five-star ship

Regent is going considered a six-star line, but as an experienced cruisers we found this to be a five-star ship. Here are a few notes (issues and highlights by category): Accommodations: Exceptional suites, extremely lean and despite their age are very well maintained, albeit with a somewhat outdated color palette. Very comfortable bedding, ample closet space, shower and tub separated, ...

Tahiti is wonderful

Overall a great experience. Lost Moorea due to weather and Nuku Hiva was a waste of fuel. Should have added more time in Bora Bora. Ship is old but kept up pretty nicely. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Crew is great led by Ray, cruise director, who was everywhere. Boarding: This was a mess with a long line as everyone seemed to board at the same time. Conversely, the disembarkment was ...

Failed Luxury

There were several ups and downs. Ours was not a luxury experience. We were not on the transfer list for the prepaid ride from the airport to the hotel. Took a taxi and had to hagle with ship crew to get reimbursed. The hotel, Tahiti Pearl, was in a beautiful spot but I would put it on par with a Best Western with a view Embarkation was the worst I have ever experinced. We waited in ...

Long in the tooth, but a nice cruise

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

Just off Navigator last week. We are moderately experienced cruisers (~24 total), though this is our first Regent since the old Radisson Diamond in 1997. We enjoyed the cruise, especially the excellent service and staff, both in the cabins and in the dining venues. There are always some glitchy times in dining, and this was no exception, as Christmas Day simply overwhelmed the ship's ability to ...

Very disappointing return to Regent

We chose Regent for my husband's 70th birthday celebration. We spent a lot of money on this, but having sailed with Regent years ago (pre-NCL) we believed that we would get the ultra-luxurious experience we were paying for. We did not. There is little point in repeating everything related by previous reviewers - we completely agree that the ship is too old, noisy and cramped to be described as ...

Not 6 Star

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We had been on Regent Seven Seas Navigator before and had a great cruise. Everything was perfect, so when this cruise came up from Miami to Miami on Mariner into the Amazon, we booked the trip and looked so much forward to go. But already the first evening there was problems to go into the restaurant. They didn't have enough seat for people and we had to wait, for quite some time. It happened more ...

Good Cruise to the Amazon

My wife and I just finished a 25 day cruise to the Amazon River in Brazil on the Regent Seven Seas Mariner. We are in our mid 60s and have cruised over 30 times mostly on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. This was our first “luxury cruise”. The itinerary was round trip Miami with many stops in the Caribbean and 3 days up the Amazon River to Manaus, Brazil. Everything was included in the fare – ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

My Husband and I were very excited to sail on our first Regent Cruise. We had heard a lot about the company from many of our friends. We are seasoned cruisers, mostly in retreat class on Celebrity. We are people who never complain. The glass is half full not half empty, and the upsets on this cruise were so bad that it ruined my trip. The worst thing is friends are asking me how my trip was ...
