Just off Navigator last week. We are moderately experienced cruisers (~24 total), though this is our first Regent since the old Radisson Diamond in 1997.

First time with Regent. Lovely ship and great cruise from Bali to Sydney. Cyclone went thru Cairns so all excursions cancelled at that port. Downgraded to category 1 so we really had no effects while at sea. Have cruised over a dozen times with others lines, first time with Regent. We had previously been on Regent Cruises, the last on the Splendour and splendid it was. Sadly our enthusiasm for Regent was curbed somewhat when full of expectation, we boarded the Explorer touted by Region as the worlds most expensive cruise ship. Finally, on the fourth attempt at booking this "bucket list" travel event, we succeeded in getting aboard what was touted as an upscale ship rated a 10 for its culinary excellence. This was a 10-day itinerary around Japan, and we stayed aboard for nearly three weeks after while the ship sailed across the North Pacific, through the Aleutians and down the Inner Passage to Vancouver.

We chose this cruise because of the port calls in Vietnam and Hong Kong. Unfortunately, the cruise was canceled in Bangkok through an abundance of caution due to the Coronavirus.
