This is our first and most likely last Regent Cruise. It was marginal in all aspects. I say maybe last as we are thinking this cannot have happened based on all the branding and promises made related to Regent being a luxury experience and us paying more then we ever had before for a 14 day cruise. Maybe it was the ship?
The Navigator is an old and outdated ship that really should be in a ...
All staff were very friendly.
What is not good? Almost zero outdoor, pool deck activity! Only once every two weeks some food or live music on the pool deck. No music anywhere when the show is on. Some harbors bad stops such as in Java. Excursion some ok, some just hours of bus drives. Worst: Horrible wifi! If you are not retired and need to work some online: Do not use Regent! They advertise ...
We chose Regent for my husband's 70th birthday celebration. We spent a lot of money on this, but having sailed with Regent years ago (pre-NCL) we believed that we would get the ultra-luxurious experience we were paying for. We did not. There is little point in repeating everything related by previous reviewers - we completely agree that the ship is too old, noisy and cramped to be described as ...
Beautiful ship with lovely staff and excellent food but the entertainment fell short of what we’ve experienced with Regent on past cruises.
Constant changes to the entertainment programme. They repeated performances and also made numerous cancellations.
This was a 17 day cruise with no deck parties and there appeared to be a lack of direction from the cruise director and his wife. The ...
I wanted to celebrate our 40th anniversary with a “bucket list” trip for my wife – something she has been wanting to do since she was child - which was a trip to Japan.
We chose Regent for this itinerary and more importantly, the shore excursions, based on our prior experience with them cruising Alaska, and Greece & Turkey. The previously experienced shore excursions were educational, ...
We love cruising. This was our 21st cruise and first on Regent. It was our 3rd cruise this year also. Our room was on the 6th floor. When we arrived we found it was at the end of the hall and out a door which lead to the wellness center. Our room was the only one out there and was between 2 fire doors. People going to work out had two doors slamming all the time. Even 4 am. We went to take a ...
We choose this cruise because it was advertised as, "the most luxurious cruise and an unparalleled experience".
The transfer from airport to our hotel was badly organised. Following a 13 hour flight and over an hour spent in immigration, we were expected to wait indefinitely for guests arriving on the flights which had not as yet landed.
The food in the La Veranda was poor in quality, ...
We were fans of Crystal Cruises and were looking for a replacement after Crystal folded. We had hoped that Regent would offer a similar experience. It did not. The room (we were the lowest price expensive category) was very small apart from the balcony and there was limited storage. I had to keep half of my clothes in my suitcase under the bed. We have had more storage on lesser priced ships. We ...
Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...
The Viking ad is correct. What there is not enough of is time.
We booked the extended Regent cruise from Singapore to Auckland. Australia had several stops. Most of which were kept.
New Zealand in 2018 passes a requirement for all ships entering their waters to have their hulls cleaned prior to doing so. Yet Regent never could arrange for it. Upon being noticed that the Seven Seas was barred ...
