Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Regatta

This was our 3rd cruise and second with Oceania. Our first cruise was to French Polynesia on Regatta and was cut short due to the Covid outbreak. Despite this setback, we were very impressed and pleased with everything, especially the food and based on this experience, booked our most recent cruise with Oceania again. This most recent cruise was again on Regatta. A 16 day voyage visiting ports in ...

Not quite the Oceania I once knew

We are long time Oceania aficionados, and were very much looking forward to this cruise from Singapore to Sydney. The Regatta is a small ship (and I mention this as a plus) which was last refurbished in 2019. While I have no complaints about the condition of the ship, it does not have the "wow" factor many people are looking for while cruising. My biggest complaint is the unfortunate decline ...

Just got back from a week long cruise on Oceania regatta and wanted to share my opinions/ experience of the ship/cruise line vs Silversea for those that are interested in seeing a comparison. It was 19 years ago when we last cruised on the Regatta which was our first Oceania ship. I would have to say that Oceania did a wonderful job refurbishing this ship, so if all the other R size ships ...

Inconsistent service and quality of food

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Regatta

We wanted a close to home cruise line, meaning a short air flight, and a short cruise to test the quality of the food and service. I read many Oceania threads on Cruise Critic and appreciated being able to take our own wine on-board, good food, and what I interpreted to be a mature yet lively clientele. We wanted a nice cabin with a good bathroom. We loved our cabin. We had a dedicated butler ...

We were curious about Oceania as we’d heard it was a cut above the regular cruise lines in terms of food and service but not crazy expensive. We have done many transatlantic cruises with another cruise line and were wondering if we oughtn’t to try a different line. This short cruise along the California coast would be a good test. We are neither cruise nor food snobs, we just like a quiet ...

Perfect sized ship for Alaskan cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Regatta

Food was excellent (nice choice and variety). Service has excellent (stateroom stewards were amazing!). Thoroughly enjoyed how close the ship got to Hubbard Glacier. Also enjoyed the other ports of call. The Naturalist on the cruise was also amazing. Saw dolphins, whales, and sea lions from the ship - cool! DID NOT LIKE WARD’S COVE. Oceania’s parent company, NCL, has their own dock, outside ...

Cruise vets try Oceania

We're getting a little tired of the big ships and wanted to finally visit Alaska. Being Florida residents, Alaska is a bit of trip - it was always easier for us to fly to Europe direct from Miami or Orlando, so we never did, until now. There was no way we would cruise Alaska on a behemoth cruise ship, so let's respond the many marketing pieces from Oceania and see what we can see! So here we ...

I sailed this month on the Oceania Regatta to Alaska and British Columbia. What an amazing experience! From the moment you arrive at the ship you are treated so well. Our cabin was spacious with a balcony, butler and housekeeper. The staff always had a smile on their faces and greeted us every time they saw us. The food, entertainment and ambiance of the ship surpassed my expectations! The shore ...

Good service mediocre food

I booked Oceania mainly due to Tips For Travellers channel recommendation: Gary Bembridge. Oceania has a high crew to passenger ratio so service is very good, we’ll organized and happy crew. Boarding and cleanliness were also very good. Passengers were mostly elderly and crew looked after disabilities marvelously though about 10 passengers were clearly too unwell or infirm to travel. Food ...

A great small ship experiance

Although the ship was full, there were always lots of seats in the observation lounge and around the pool. The only time that you noticed a full ship was sometimes in the buffet restaurant at breakfast time. We were looking forward to the food on this cruise. Other than fantastic meals in the two (free) specialty restaurants, we were extremely disappointed. The buffet food was often cold and ...
