Undercooked meatballs from the Lido. This is unsafe, and the senior staff didn't bother to remove the tray from the buffet.

Regal Princess vs Celebrity Silhouette in 2022
"Princess offers option of Tea/Coffee service in our stateroom with a kettle and tea/coffee brought daily Enjoyed option of 3 dining rooms: Allegro, Concerto and Symphony in addition to Alfredo's for casual dining (not a buffet fan); MDR food seemed superior to what we experienced on Celebrity (Sitting at the same restaurant became stale and the quality was not what we expected several occasions - albeit this may be a post-Covid adjustment given Celebrity cruise was earlier in 2022.Celebrity had amazing guest performers of a higher calibre Seemed to have more vegetarian/GF options than Princess in buffet area The Celebrity app seemed less buggy than Princess Medallion system Port seminars were recorded and available on stateroom television to watch at your convenience Enrichment speaker was knowledgeable and a good speaker (Naturalist based on Caribbean destination) Tendering seemed better organized with Celebrity (At Mykonos, we were sitting and waiting for more than 2 hours to be called to disembark reducing our time in port - might have been a local port issue vs a ship issue?..."Read More

A Cautionary Tale

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Regal Princess

We wanted to do a transatlantic cruise and we thought Princess would be a great choice for this. Embarkation in Barcelona was chaotic and slow, but all went very well after. Koror Montenegro was a surprise - the old city is fascinating. The itinerary through the Mediterranean was terrific. The food was very good to excellent and the buffet particularly impressed. We ate about half our dinners in ...

Great itinerary, ship and crew

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Regal Princess

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We liked the diverse ports. None really disappointed. Dubrovnik was a last minute substitution for Valletta. We really liked Croatia! Some ports I would like to return for a longer time, like Dubrovnik and Kotor. We were blessed with great weather. We did purchase the sanctuary for an at sea day. We liked the peaceful atmosphere and shade. It is an ...

First timer's take

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

This was my first cruise ever. I decided to accompany my mother and sister as the price was reasonable. I have been somewhat of a skeptic of cruises, but after this experience I am somewhat of a convert. The pre-cruise customer service was awful to put it mildly. We used a EU based distributor for the booking. In terms of flights and hotels they could only suggest Princess's offerings, which ...

Disappointing,

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Regal Princess

This cruise was chosen by friends and was my first experience with Princess. I suspect it will be my last. I was interested to cruise on Princess after bumping into a couple who had never cruised with any lines and loved the company. I can’t say I share their enthusiasm. I found the veranda stateroom cramped. We have always booked verandas no matter which company we cruise with, so I can ...

24/9 to 8/10/22. Barcelona to Athens 14 nights. This was the first time we had taken the cruise line flight & transfer package, it will also be our last. Flight landed at 14.20 hrs, still sitting on the bus waiting to leave the airport at 16.20 hrs. Told the bus driver (who not speak english) to remove our luggage from the coach and that we were going by taxi, he made a phone call and we left ...

3 weeks of Mediterranean

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Regal Princess

We wanted to hit the most ports that interested us in a three-week period. We had 3 weeks of history and exploring. The only thing we were disappointed in was the entertainment was the same and the menu did not vary from week to week. I expected the menu would vary based on the country we were visiting. But that didn't happen. There weren't enough local dishes for the area we were traveling. ...

Overrated, overpriced and overhyped.

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Regal Princess

We've sailed four times with Royal Caribbean, once before with Princess and once with Carnival. This was far and away the most expensive cruise - and almost the most disappointing. Despite Princess's touting of its MedallionNet app, it's really hit or miss. Preloading all your required documentation does not change how long it takes to clear the regular onboarding process: it's still all ...

The little things make all the difference - if only they’d listen!

This was our first cruise with Princess, although we have sailed many times with other lines, mainly Celebrity, so it’s hard not to make comparisons. Princes runs a series of 7 night cruises which can be extended to as much as 28 days. Our cruise was actually 14 days (Barcelona - Athens). First thing is that it’s quite confusing when a large proportion of the guests changes after 7 days, but ...

My husband and I are in our late 60's and trying to travel as much as we can. I have read many, many reviews and I think some people just expect too much. You make it your own. We NEVER had any cruise employee that was not helpful, friendly, and go out of their way to do anything for you! Every meal we had at any specialty restaurant we exceptional. Even the main dining was very good. The only ...

Disappointed on Regal Princess

Family of 4, Mini suite cabin M 227 on deck 15. 3rd time cruising with Princess. As from our first day we had an issue with water pressure from our bath shower. We raised our concern for this issue 3 times in 2 days with front desk office where upon the 3rd complaint, water pressure got slightly better. Our cabin with the exception of our bathroom, was quite comfortable and was kept really tidy ...
