This was our second Princess Cruise in and Aft Balcony Cabin. We choose the cabin since the balcony's are bigger than Mini Suites. The only negative is keeping the area clean as the result of "Stack Soot". It would benefit the passengers in these cabins if the Cabin Steward would pay attention to the area in keeping it and the furniture clean. Read Less

Cabin smelled like fish. They had to replace one of my pillows but that did not help. Were supposed to get the carpet cleaned not sure if that ever happened.

We were in category D4 - premium deluxe balcony in the aft of the ship. Cabin A-738. The cabin was a standard balcony cabin with a small pull-out couch and a larger than normal balcony. The depth of the balcony was equivalent to those on most other standard cabins, but it stretched a couple of feet to the left (due to some kind of mechanical room next to us), which really made a nice difference. Was led to believe the aft staterooms have larger decks, this is not the case on Aloha but true for the decks above and below, felt like A bit of bait and switch. That said the room steward took care of everything and did not experience any issues with soot on the deck as some have. Do like sleeping with the slider door open and did have a couple of time needing to close the door for exhaust smell. Read Less

We chose an aft cabin on Aloha deck under the premise of larger deck space with the two suites on either corner, found this not to be the case, true for deck above and below but not Aloha deck. The D4 cabin was smaller than expected and was showing age especially the carpet. Everything worked fine and the cabin steward Ahmand was great at keeping things tidy without an assistant. We had no problems with soot by being on the stern as others have mentioned. Read Less
