"Entertainment – we felt the Ruby entertainment had also experienced cuts like Royal and the shows were not what they used to be – not as well done or with as good entertainers. We were hoping getting ill was something Royal would help us avoid and they did a great job for us on the Radiance...."Read More

Balcony room nice. Shower so small ,but made it work. Ship staff were awesome . Lack of fresh vegetables on menu was sad. When offered such as coleslaw or cucumber salad in main dining a tablespoon was served and usually hot and wilted and flavorless. Desserts were very sad . Whipped topping is not Mousse . Overall ship well maintained ,Captain praised staff and and rightly so. Good ...

We decided to do a quick holiday cruise after several years of not being able to. We found a good deal on the cruise itself with prepaid gratuities and some onboard credit as well. Captain Marek was still onboard for our sailing although I believe he was leaving after our cruise. He is definitely one of the nicest and most enjoyable Captains in the Royal Caribbean fleet. Although I saw reviews ...

Musical Entertainment was wonderful

See below for comments on the music. We chose this cruise to visit Panama and Columbia as well as the typical Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozumel. The welcome aboard in the "Centrum" was Horrible, long lines accompanied with very loud Disco type music and irrelevant announcements being made over the loudspeaker. We waited in the overcrowded "windjammer" buffet for our rooms to be released. ...

Before moving to a comparison I will do a review of the Royal Radiance 9 day sailing 9-18 Feb. Six seniors traveling together taking advantage of very attractive pricing on this sailing. First time for some of us out of the new RC terminal facility in Galveston. What a nice experience it seemed we were slowing them down from loading us it went so quickly. From curb drop off to onboard less than ...

Galveston getaway for 6 seniors!

We primarily chose this cruise because the timing was perfect for 6 people and Galveston was a handier trek from AZ than the mayhem of a Florida embarkation. My husband and I took an Uber ($67 + tip) from Hobby to the Harbor House hotel at Pier 21 where we were staying overnight. Rooms are nice and their continental breakfast is sufficient to tide you over until you are aboard the ship. Hotel was ...

Winter was coming and after our "return to cruising" in 2022- the one thing I really, really needed after 20 days at sea was a longish cruise :) Nine days was just right and Oceanview cabins were very reasonable. We decided to fly vs drive- fares on Southwest were quite good, and Southwest does not charge for checked baggage and has good legroom. There were even a few "new to us" ports. Seven ...

Radiance of the Seas was cool. It was our 6th cruise, third with RC and we enjoyed it. A short 5 night cruise out of Tampa was the perfect ticket for some relaxing and fun. Service was attentive and good. Meals in the main dining room were ok, but the service was great. Enjoyed two specialty restaurants and each were good choices as the food and service were very good. The buffet food was ...

I took my daughter on the Radiance of the Seas to celebrate her 18th birthday. We're both sun lovers, so the 2 days at sea was appealing to both of us. The ship is beautiful! Upon registration, we were informed that our cabin had been switched to a different deck, but the registration agent had no idea why. Upon locating our cabin, we were pleasantly surprised that we had been upgraded to a ...

Sailed on the Radiance on March 24th for a 4 night cruise.Embarkation was seemless, but not a quick as other reviewers stated. There was only one metal detector in use and as a result a line to get through the metal detector. Once passed that part, we filled out the Health Information card and proceeded through the remainder of the process quickly.Dining - The food was good. Ate mostly in the ...
