Thought I would read throw some reviews as I've not been on here for a while and blimey, people are fairly getting stuck in to poor old Victoria. Yes we were held up in dry dock but for goodness sake,we were all fed and watered, what people have to understand is....these things happen, yes,it was disappointing missing Lisbon but would these people rather the cruise was cancelled last minute? I for ...

Superb food and service

Did the Xmas cruise after a break of 3 years due to covid. Glad that all the important features and standards have been maintained. Yes there were changes but were all beyond Cunard control. International legislation regarding the environment and Covid regulations meant that, just like life in the uk, things had to change. Life or cruising will never be the same again. The food, staff ,service and ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Victoria

We decided on Cunard as P&O have gone so far downhill,it’s not an option anymore. We are lucky enough to have suites when we cruise and boy do Cunard treat you well. The cabin at the back of the ship was clean and spacious. We dined in the queens grill, where you have your own table and nobody else ever sits there,it’s yours for the duration. The waiter we had was second to none and the ...

Exciting new experiences of the Canary islands

This was a back to back cruise coming off the Mediterranean & Adriatic cruise. We wanted to see what the Canary islands have to offer and it was a delight. We enjoyed the experience of the beautiful greenery and 585 metre high expose sea cliffs in Madeira island, the collapsed gigantic volcanic Caldera Taburiente in La Palma island, the ride up to 3550M of the tall volcanic mountains Mt Teide ...

We have been on the Queen Victoria before and it has always been a favourite of ours and it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful suite with a full sized Christmas tree as an added bonus. The Butler and his assistant were fantastic and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Our suite was always kept pristine and we never lacked for anything. We travelled with our adult daughter so we ...

The voyage was to the Canaries from Southampton. At the start , we were a little apprehensive due to the Bay of Biscay but the ship handled it well despite the 4Mtr swells. We had superb food in the Britannia restaurant and Lido, probably the best to date. We were also glad to see that Cunard were maintaining the dress code, I did not see anyone who was not dressed to the correct standard. The ...

Thoughts on our first ever time in a Q1 Suite

We just arrived back home after sailing for 10 nights around the Canary Islands and Madiera. We originally were booked in a Queens Grill Q5 Cabin, but we received an offer from Cunard of purchasing an upgrade to Q1, which we chose to take up. For us it was very exciting to be sailing on the QV but to be sailing in a Q1 (The Aquataine Suite) was beyond exciting. We arrived at check in and ...

Enjoyable Cunard Christmas

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Victoria

Lured by an offer of free drinks for the Grills, we thought we would try this Christmas cruise. We have been with Cunard many times, but never over Christmas. The Christmas aspects were great: elegant decorations, carol services, good food, and Santa's visit via the funnel for some very excited children and almost equally excited adults. We were lucky with the weather in the islands, which was ...

My partner had done the QM2 Transatlantic but I had never cruised before so it was all new to me and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. We had a wonderful time on the Queen Victoria over Christmas last year, i'd thoroughly recommend it for anyone looking to get away over the festive period. We chose a deluxe inside on deck 1 and were very pleased with our cabin. There was plenty of hanging ...
