We chose Victoria again as it was going to Rio de Janeiro including a long trip along the Amazon. We started from Southampton and flew back from Rio. The ship carried on finally returning to Southampton. On board all food in the Britannia, Lido and Verandah restaurants was excellent. Staff service in all areas was also excellent. The ship's condition was very good overall and for those yet to ...
The service in the Britannia restaurant was as great as always. But the weather across the Atlantic was dreadful. We were late into Bermuda and Port Canaveral. The Churchill cigar lounge was full of cigarette smokers and resembled the Dog and Duck pub rather than an intimate cigar lounge as it is advertised. Day activities were poor and because of the weather the decks were often closed. ...
We went on the worldwide cruise with Cunard in Jan 2019 and have vowed never to cruise with this company again. The ship was tatty and the furnishing were mediocre. Air con was cold throughout the ship and you could not turn this off in your stateroom. It would have been nice to have been able to open our balcony door but if we did this the air con went into ‘overdrive’ and dripped. I am sure ...
This was our first Cunard experience, and we were not disappointed. We were on the first sector of the 2019 World Cruise; this would take us from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale, stopping at Bermuda and Port Canaveral. We were under no illusions with six sea days before the first port of call we would need to find plenty to do. Also, the North Atlantic in January could have been very rough ...
Cabin was dowdy, old stained curtains, shower smelt of mold! The fan didn’t work so the mirror fogged up so much you couldn’t see a thing in it! Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly! Black stain in the loo, and smelt of urine!
Stain of looked like dried on milk up the wall!
They seriously need upgrading!
The money Cunard have spent on upgrading has not gone into the balcony rooms, I guess ...
We chose this cruise from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale because we like days on board the ship and the 11 day voyage from Southampton to Forty Lauderdale is perfect for us. We had done the same voyage the year before -since when the QV has undergone a refit which has improved the ship although it has created yet another tier of special client which may be good for Cunard but does nothing to ...
This was our third time on Cunard and our second on the Queen Victoria, so we had a good idea of what to expect: excellent service, excellent dancing and mediocre food. Our April cruise through the Panama Canal, from LA to Fort Lauderdale, met two of those three expectations.
The service was indeed excellent. Every crew member we encountered was friendly and eager to help. Our cabin steward, ...
Past experience with sailing on at Cunard Ships - Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary.
I wanted to comment on the treatment we were given by our steward, Leo, our head waiter, Ryan, our waiter, Arnold (Arnie), and our assistant waiter, Dexter (Dex). We were totally treated by Leo in our cabin (there were 3 of us in 6197) - he asked us what he could do to help us but never was ...
It stopped at places we had not been to.. canaverel, charleston and Bermuda. Plus the name of Cunard. First time and last time with Cunard
Embarkation at Fort Lauderdale was chaotic took nearly an hour through process. Not well organised.
Got to cabin straight away once on board. Went to Lido buffet. Food looked ok, but expected better for Cunard. Thought first day so would get better. ...
We joined the ship in Sydney, heading for Los Angeles, about 28 nights. We have been with Cunard on many cruises, but this was the longest cruise we have taken. Embarkation was quick and efficient. Our luggage was in our room before we arrived. The stateroom was wonderful, room 5097 in the Princess Grill. The food in the restaurant could not be faulted.Every meal was a treat, and the service we received ...
