Did not live up to expectations

This was our first Cunard Cruise, we had high hopes: ship looks stylish, cabin comfortable, embarkation smooth. Drinks are seriously overpriced and service charges do not reflect the level of service delivered. on arrival we had wine but only one glass, no teaspoons for coffee and not enough milk. Food options are very limited compared to P&O and food is rather bland, unimaginative and ...

We have sailed several times on Victoria, always in Princess Grills, and loved it. This time the room was dirty, and very noisy. The ship was under crewed and no one seemed very happy. The room was not cleaned until mid to late afternoon, which is unusual and was very inconvenient. The ship was very noisy with the infrastructure creaking and groaning 24/7 The food was adequate but not of the ...

We travelled with friends and liked the itiniery, especially Venice and Lake Garda (this was an add on arranged by Imagine cruising. I use a wheelchair and gave all dimensions to Cunard before setting off. Despite this, my chair would not fit through the cabin door. The "stateroom" was just very average and not very big so my chair, even when folded, took up a lot of space. We ate in the ...

Boring and expensive

Wanted to travel from London/Southampton to Barcelona and visit Gibraltar and Mallorca. Everything on this cruise was boring and well over priced. Excursions in Gibraltar and Mallorca were a waste of time and money - drove around the 'rock' in Gibraltar on a Sunday (everything was closed) and were dropped for 2 hours in a tourist trap market in Mallorca. Meals in the restaurant were ...

My partner is a florist. We chose the cruse "Festival of flowers" because we thought it would be interesting from his line of work. We assumed the ship would be full of flowers There was one main arrangement in the lobby which was dead and was for most of the cruise. When I mentioned this I was told by one of the purcers " I don't like flowers" the food in the Britainia Resteraunt was bland, ...

Appalling Customer Service by Cunard

We had a very pleasant 14 day cruise with Cunard - we stayed in a Q4, Queens Suite. The cabin was comfortable and our butler, Alex, was superb. It's an elegant, albeit very dated, ship (particularly the yellowing rouched curtains in the Queens Grill - someone please give them a wash!). Disembarkation was a complete fiasco - disorganised, chaotic and took over an hour to reach the gangway from ...

We chose this ship as we love sailing the QM2 and wanted to experience this ship. The Queen Victoria was a huge let down. The staff members were moody and unfriendly. They have cut corners to the point it made things uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet had one counter and only the normal things...no Eggs Benedict or extras. We did go to the dinning room for breakfast one morning and the line was ...

Very disappointing service and standards on Cunard, Queen Victoria

We booked our cruise early summer 2016. We friend and I had both cruised before with various cruise liners but this was our first voyage with Cunard for which we had great expectations and excitement. Our shared experience of welcoming staff, varied and exciting entertainment, fine dining and quality liner service and standards meant that we anticipated Cunard to meet our previous experiences ...

Just returned from two weeks on the Queen Victoria, cruise started in Venice and ended up 14 nights later in Athens. I have to say I was very disappointed in many aspects of the cruise, working in a safety environment I have to say that there were several significant safety concerns, from stood in the corridor debating with the cabin stewards about their reluctance for us to be shown the ...
