This was first time we had obstructed OV and not sure I would do that again but we booked late and had little options. Read Less

Chosen as bigger than an inside and there is some natural light despite the orange glow from the tender outside. Much cheaper than a balcony, which can can be noisy in high winds. A balcony is a must for some trips but not necessary for this one. The cabin steward was excellent. Attentive but discreet. Thank you August for being patient with us late risers! There was a loud banging noise in this cabin when it was windy one night. The night manager came and said it was ‘contracting noise’ and we were offered a cabin move. The wind dropped, the noise stopped and we stayed put. For the first time on any cruise (over 25), we could hear our next door neighbours who deemed it necessary to speak at the same time and very loudly. Fellow cruisers, please respect your neighbours. Roomy, kept immaculately by our lovely Joy, plenty of room and the view wasn't too bad when we consider we have never had obstructed before.

We booked a late saver so did not choose our cabin. We were worried when we found that the cabin was opposite the launderette as some reviewers had made a point of saying what a lot of issues they had being near the launderettes. In the end the cabin was perfect for us. Despite being a partial view, the obstruction was minimal and the launderette was no problem at all. We hardly saw anybody using it and as it shut at about 9:00pm, it caused no issues at all. The cabin was clean and had enough space for all of our clothes. Luggage stored under the bed easily. The bed itself was very comfy. Read Less

It was the first time that we traveled on an obstructed view cabin and found it was a nice value for money. The obstruction of cabin 4119 is significant, but you can see a little at the back of the boat in front of the cabin. The cabin itself is spacious and, bearing in mind the obstruction, bright. A comfortable two-seat sofa with a little table make a cozy sitting room. Storage is ample, with two additional large drawers under the beds. Interestingly, there remains space under the beds to store one's suitcases (bed frame height is 15.5" off floor, approx 38.5 cm). Bathroom is, like in all inside, outside and balcony cabins, rather small but adequate, with fixed water stall in the shower, and limited storage space above the sink. Cabin is tastefully decorated.
