I chose this Crossing because it was Cunard's annual Crossing with the British National Orchestra. At Southampton, I stayed on the ship and went to northern Norway and back for another 13 days on the ship. So, I was on board the QM2 for 20 days as a solo traveler. Are we seeing the end of cruising’s golden age? Transatlantic in November, from Southampton to NY and back. Return leg coincided with Literature Festival at sea, which made the ship much busier and removed many of the more usual enhancement events including the Planetarium.

I wanted to experience a Cunard cruise.....and it exceeded my expectations. Elegant, traditional ship, no noisy pool side cinema screen..... a plus for me! The great dame continues to plough endlessly from New York to Southampton and back.
Oceanview cabin 04015 was huge a long walk to the door, larger than the balcony cabin next door.
