Cabin is a bit on the small side ,but has plenty of closet and draw space ,a new 32in flat scene TV with a remote that worked [ had many problems with remotes on previous cruises] Bathroom a bit dated , but clean and functional.

A great big lifeboat obstructing the view from the balcony, but this causes little problems when all you can see is wide ocean for six days. The cabin was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of storage space and no noise from the corridor or adjacent cabins. Fittings, carpet and shower are looking a bit tired now and hopefully will be attendet to in the next refit. The knobs and handles on closets and drawers are ment to look art deco but in reality you can really hurt your fingers in them. On disembarkation day I managed to have a look at the new single cabins, they look so much smarter and modern. Read Less

Cabin 8044. This is an obstructed view cabin. However, with this specific cabin and probably a handful of others the view is not completely blocked by a big orange life boat. I would roughly estimate that about 60% - 70% of the view is blocked. There is a gap between the rescue equipment where you can see straight down to the promenade deck and out to sea (saw a couple of dolphins one day). To the left there is a smaller boat that you can get a peek at the sea below and the sky above. Personally I thought the view from the cabin was reasonable for an obstructed view cabin. I was able to get a picture of the view from Cunard before I booked the cabin. I think views from obstructed view cabins are available from the UK Cunard website. On the whole we enjoyed the cabin. There was enough room in the cabin and on the balcony. The bed was comfortable. Decorations were OK. The service from the steward good. Enough room in the shower. Generally quiet although you could hear the passengers in the adjoining cabins if they were loud. I do wish they would put less items in the mini fridge so there was more room my own beverages. Note: On the last night I heard clacking sounds which turned out to be the hangers banging against each other in the closet due to the motion of the ship. Easily corrected. Read Less

Standard obstructed view balcony cabin. 8046 benefits from the fact that outside there is only a small rescue boat so the view is barely obstructed. It is in a good position in relation to the B stairway. Comfortable with plenty of storage and quality decor and a reasonably sized balcony with quality furniture. Get rid of the tea and coffee making facilities - made it feel a little like a Travelodge - get rid of the man-made fibre sheets and pillow slips and brighten up the bathrooms. Tiny fixes which would make a big difference. Read Less

Our wonderful travel agent got us an obstructed view balcony which really had a view between a small life boat and a large life boat. The cabin was clean and well taken care of by Nick.

The cabin was basic, the beds however were so comfortable, bed linen was a little worn out, the towels were new and fluffy. The dressing gowns are the only ones to date out of 12 cruises that fitted properly, and the belt wasn't up around my arm pits. The bathroom serves a purpose, water temp in the shower is unpredictable, toiletries nothing special, the room was looking tired, hooks missing from the curtains, miss match of light bulbs, chipped furniture, rusty chairs and table on the balcony. Finally obstructed view means exactly that, a dirty great big life boat is all you will see. Read Less
