Little to criticize about two weeks on the Queen Elizabeth…….

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We chose Cunard again because we simply enjoy the gorgeous art deco interiors, superb British service, formality, dress codes, food and entertainment. We did a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 2 some years ago and simply loved it. That being said, we recognize that not everyone values such an experience. Cunard is NOT the line for you if you want ice skating rinks, climbing walls, go ...

CUNARD NEVER DISAPPOINTS

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

I just returned from a seven night Mediterranean cruise on Cunard's Queen Elizabeth. Being Diamond level in Cunard's World Club I have sailed on all of their ships from QE2 to QM2 and Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. Cunard never disappoints. In my opinion Cunard is the most luxurious cruise line in the world and I have sailed with almost every other line. I describe Cunard ships as ...

We returned home yesterday from QE voyage Southampton to San Francisco and had a wonderful time aboard. On arriving in Southampton at 12.15 as requested we were surprised by the number of passengers waiting for Covid testing. Obvious the stated time was not adhered to. However we were onboard and having lunch in the restaurant by 1.45pm. We were in Grills and had a lovely suite, plenty of ...

A delight to be back

Finally, at, I think, our seventh attempt we made it back on to a Cunard ship, and enjoyed ourselves very much. We have cruised with Cunard many times and were pleased to see everything was much as expected, with a few differences because of Covid. By far the worst part was embarkation which took about an hour and three quarters rather than the usual 20 minutes. I’m not sure why this was, ...

Great to be back on board the QE even if for only 4 days. Our first cruise for 30 months since the pandemic. Fast efficient check in. Pleased with covid precautions still in place. Ship very clean and the food and services all to a very good standard considering the circumstances. Special mention to Antonio for looking after us so well (again) in the Britannia Restaurant. Entertainment most ...

Princess Grill versus standard Brittany's balcony

Having spent 2 weeks on QE in November on a cruise to the canaries & maderia in a standard balcony cabin I thought it would be useful to some to compare experiences of a short trip to Amsterdam in princess grill in March. The first obvious difference is space. The princess Grill cabin was approx a third bigger overall, however contains a walk in dressing area with a spacious bathroom with a ...

A VERY ENJOYABLE CRUISE

Have cruised many times but this was our first cruise on a Cunard ship. Arrived at Southampton docks - testing very quick - results very quick but car-park drop off area busy. Welcome greeting as we stepped onto the ship and given directions to our balcony cabin - very good and roomy. All meals good. We had breakfast in the Buffet which was a one way system with food served onto our plates ...

We have cruised with Cunard once before, this would be our first time on Queen Elizerbeth, and our first Christmas and New Year cruise. Because of Covid the ship was only half full and (vaccinated) adults only. It was fourteen nights in duration, and calling at Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira and La Coruna. All these places we have visited many times before, this meant ...

Amazing to be back!

This was my first cruise since the Covid pandemic caused everything to be put on hold. Understandably, there were a few differences on board, which I have taken into consideration for this review. Embarkation Very smooth, even though there were no obvious signposts to find the covid testing drive through. The test was fairly quick, with minimal queues. Once through, we headed over to the ...

Stunning week away up to the Western Isles of Scotland & Liverpool

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Partly due to the sheer inability to cruise anywhere for SO long, due to you know what C19, and the fact that it was a Southampton and back trip so easy access for us Hampshire folk, made this Queen Elizabeth British cruise a worthwhile and easy trip to pick. We chose a Princess Grill suite having done a PG trip on QE around the Baltic back in June 2017 and found it close to the level we have ...
