Special birthday cruise with Cunard in the middle of May 2022 was the reason for this cruise plus it seemed good value as it was a re positioning journey finally ending in Alaska. We had a good ball cabin kept immaculate by our excellent steward and took dinner at 8.30 (a bit late for us).All meals were excellent as per usual.Vegetables are never cooked enough though making them too inedible for ...

We chose this cruise because although we had sailed QM2 several times Transatlantic, we had never been on the QE. The dates fit our schedule—sail the QM2 over to Southampton, a week in England and sail the QE back Southampton to Fort Lauderdale. Our leg was the beginning of the QE’s longer leg, she will be sailing over a month, all the way to Alaska. My observations: Embarkation in Southampton ...

We chose a back to back cruise to celebrate our birthdays. The first 12 nights we were Club Balcony and the second 17 nights on Princess Grills. I will talk about dining later. The Club Balcony we chose was on deck 7 with an extended very large curved balcony, the stateroom is similar to most other balcony cabins but at an increased cost due to the Club Dining. Most Club Balconies offered are ...

I picked this cruise for my wife’s birthday and the fact that it was only a week. We had a suite at the back of the boat. Having not cruised before I feel I was I’ll advised on the location of the cabin as we felt the full movement of the boat. The food and service was very good however there are hidden costs that I was not made aware of, namely the service charges. 15% is added to every ...

Our main purpose was to visit Madeira on New Year’s Eve.the fireworks are a must to see and did not disappoint. Check in included a covid test which meant my wife pushing my wheelchair quite a distance through qualming system which was unnecessary there were less than a dozen people queuing. We then entered the main terminal where we received our test results fairly quickly and boarded the ...

We had already cruised 4 times since June 2021, once with MSC, once with P&O, twice with Princess, but Cunard has always been our favourite, we are Diamond Loyalty with Cunard, so we were really looking forward to this 12 night cruise around the Western Mediterranean, however we were quite disappointed. If the aim of your cruise is to just read books, sleep and eat, then you would find it meets ...

Booked this 10 day cruise around the British Isles in order to kill 2 birds with one stone, to having a lovely luxurious cruise and visiting 5 destinations with the objective of visiting a 1 or 2 locations, we had not been to, at each port of call. It turned out that we had a luxury cruise that was excellent in terms of staff, meals, entertainment and cabin but not going ashore for 10 days was ...

A short break on a cruise ship locally during Covid restrictions. The third one since June having used Marella Explorer and Virgin Scarlet Lady. The food and cabin were of the usual high standard. Boarding lacked pre information as to going to Mayflower terminal for the Covid test and lack of help from port staff to move wheelchair and cases from car to terminal plus being misdirected for 2nd ...

We booked this cruise 18 months ago as it was an excellent price and it was booked as our first ever cruise (we actually managed to fit in two before we went in the end) The ship was beautiful. Lots of wood and Art Deco style, very classic as you would expect. Our stateroom was nice but no nicer than what we had experienced with Princess or P&O earlier this year. The food was nice but ...
