CUNARD IS UNRECOGNISABLE
"Whilst embarkation was smooth, no one bothered checking the Covid test results which had been required to embark, the same three questions were asked that had been asked on-line to which you could respond any way you pleased, a photograph was taken despite one having already been uploaded through the website.I chose Cunard as I have always found them to provide impeccable 5-star service, am Diamond level and have previously enjoyed all aspects of cruising with Cunard...."Read More

Second cruise on Cunard Queen Elizabeth Barcelona to Melbourne

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

This is my second Queen Elizabeth review. Cabin - This time we were in cabin next door to where we stayed last year. Everything was well maintained, clean, and plenty of space and storage for our 34 night cruise. Service - impeccable everywhere. Food - Britannia MDR breakfast lunch and dinner always hot, beautifully presented and tasty. Freedom dining works for us. No queues. Every table ...

We wanted to see Japan but time and my wifes mobility was limited so a cruise was ideal. We enjoyed the cruise. 9 nights and 10 days around southern Japan. Pros: Speakers were great, food was above average. Breakfast was great! Excursions were great - check out the 'shotengai' [covered pedestrianized shopping streets.. only in Japan, really cool]. There is a nice one in Kochi ...

NOT a 5star line !!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

This was our 56th cruise and we know what a five star line is. This is not. It is maybe a 3.5 or 4.0 at best. While the ship itself is in beautiful condition and creates an aura of old style class, it has not kept pace with technology. Our cabin had a 24”TV and no working phone. Internet was very slow and the App you are asked to download is next to useless. It does’nt even have a chat ...

We choose to do a back to back (this was the first leg of the trip) on the Queen Elizabeth having previously (pre-pandemic) traveled on the Queen Mary on a transatlantic. We were a bit hesitant given the wonderful time we had on the Queen Mary, trying to manage expectations etc., but we were totally and completely overjoyed with the Queen Elizabeth. Cabin: Penthouse Queens Grill....spacious ...

One and Done with Cunard

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

After over 50 cruises, I thought it would make sense to sail Cunard. BIG mistake. The Queen Elizabeth was coming out of a dry dock just prior to our cruise, so I expected to step aboard an almost new, spiffy ship. That didn't happen. There were broken items in the Lido, in the Casino, in the Laundry rooms and in the public bathrooms. And everything that was broken on Day 1 stayed broken to the end ...

Excellent itinerary 16 days Singapore to Tokyo. PRO'S - Staff good, cabin stewards great - food excellent in Princess Grills and Lido - theater shows very good - Talks overall good, Sally Gunnell was totally in command and interesting. Ship looked good after her paint job. CON'S - Never spoke with an officer, they never made eye contact and normal walked very quickly in two's. the Captain ...

Cruise nightmare from hell

I love cruising and I would never again sail with Cunard if possible. The cruise had average entertainment on offer, that I was able to attend. Appalling internet service. Service from the Pursers Office was non-existent. No feedback to the passengers. Covid was onboard when the ship berthed in Fremantle, but no one was informed. My elderly father (fully vaccinated) contracted Covid ...

CUNARD IS UNRECOGNISABLE

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Have just returned from circumnavigation of Australia on Queen Elizabeth. I chose Cunard as I have always found them to provide impeccable 5-star service, am Diamond level and have previously enjoyed all aspects of cruising with Cunard. When I started cruising with Cunard in 2003, the ships and the whole experience were all 5-star but now QE would barely rank a 3-star rating in nearly all ...

Cunard is falling to P&O Australia level cant get any lower

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

As a Diamond member we love the formality of the Cunard line and the Ballroom so we booked the around Australia cruise in November and also the Around New Zealand cruise in January 2023 Had i know the serves level had fallen so low I would not have booked these cruises the menu has been cut back drastically and the untrained staff leaves a lot to desire. I understand that after Covid they ...

Outstanding cruise

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

I had an extended balcony Britannia room midship on L6. The room was tight but sufficient. There was a small desk, 2 bedside drawers, wardrobe space, under the bed storage, a small fridge, small kettle, with tea and coffee sachets and little packets of biscuits every day, and small chocolates in the evening. There was a complimentary bottle of champagne. Room was serviced twice day. The ...
