This is my 6th cruise and 6th different cruise line. What sets Cunard apart is a sense of history that you can’t find on other cruise lines. First let me state that this was the second of two back to back cruises my friend and I took (the first being to Spain and Portugal.) Truthfully by the end of the second cruise I felt a bit jaded, overfed and kind of done with the famous Cunard formality (Some less kind than I would say pretentiousness.) We had driven around the Fjords of Norway in 1972 in a Saab I purchased in Amsterdam and shipped home from Goteborg, Sweden. We have seen the Fjords in New Zealand by air and bus and in Alaska by seas so we decided to go back to Norway to see the fjords by sea.
