The worse vacation experience

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Other than the amount of emails sent before the voyage which left me wondering what I should do before embarking, the trip just got worse as the days went by. The cabin was small, lack of wardrobe space and a poky shower room. The toiletries provided were of poor quality, forcing me to buy a decent hair shampoo as soon I could get to some shops. But the most visible shortcomings were the total ...

One and done! Hi

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Getting away on what we thought would be a restful and peaceful cruise across the Atlantic was anything but that, and we will never sail with Cunard again. Entering the terminal and boarding the ship was about the only positive part, although as we masked up from that first minute we wondered about Covid on the ship. Turns out we should have wondered as the ship was ripe with Covid ...

Poorest service ever on a cruise ship! I would give it less than 1 out of 5 if I could!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Chose this ship since it was going through the panama canal, across the atlantic and on to the mediterranean. Worst staff ever! most staff were incompetent at their jobs, especially reception and pursers office. Many staff were outright rude! we have never seen such widespread rudeness on a cruise ship. Room steward LOCKED ME OUT on my patio and then blamed the door (said it locked ...

A Cautionary Tale

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Recently my wife and I took a 28-day cruise from Southampton to San Francisco. Covid-19 dogged the entire 9,615 nautical miles of the voyage. Our troubles began even before we boarded Queen Elizabeth. Cunard demanded a certified negative antigen test dated no more than 24 hours before boarding. That meant finding a provider open on a Sunday – which we did eventually at a cost of £70. Not once ...

Awful experience with Cunard Queen Elizabeth

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

As regular cruise travellers with American cruise lines (20+) we were excited to try a short cruise on Cunard. We booked this four night cruise on Queen Elizabeth from Southampton to Amsterdam. The first impression of this Ship was good but our experience soon went spiraling down. The Stateroom attendant was initally pleasant but ignored us after the first meeting. The bed sheets were not ...

The cruise failed and so did Cunard

To celebrate my mom's 80th birthday, we booked a cruise. We had booked earlier cruises, but moved to the date in March thinking that we would have a better chance of Covid not impacting our trip. The cruise - the Northern Lights - was marketed as 12 days with 6 days in ports. Nothing was as expected. Before leaving, I received an email telling me an excursion was canceled. When I went to ...

This was meant to be a dream cruise to the northern lights but all the passengers I spoke to felt that we were short changed.

The ship “Queen Elizabeth” is a wonderful vessel with good ambience and there was plenty of general seating. The food was good and the service was mostly very professional. I felt there could have been a little more feedback from the captain. Our main complaint is with the cruise relates to the itinerary and our other feedback is to do with the ship’s choice of music and ...

Racial Discrimination

Having been five cruise lines, I as a person of color have never been so insulted and felt so discriminated against than we did on board our recent trip to Norway on the Queen Elizabeth. From the public demeaning ways the staff of color were treated by the white management, to the impatience of the excursion desk rep with my wife's Japanese accent (who received a college education in the US), from ...

Disgusting and Totally Unacceptable

There are limited areas where you can find a sun lounger round the pool. We went to to Pavilion Pool starboard on Deck 9, several times, as that is where the sun was. The bad news is that Deck 10 starboard is smoking. Every day we would be made to feel sick and asthma triggered by the bank of smokers a few feet above puffing away. There was one particular 'gentlemen' who every day would take ...

Not the Cunard we have loved for years

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We have sailed with Cunard since 1996 (Diamond Members) and this cruise was our first since covid lockdown we were a family party of four (two Accessible cabins) From start to finish it was one problem after another and it was clear that whatever cost cutting Cunard could make to try to recover some of their losses they did. Social distancing was a joke, we had a table of four and the next ...
