CUNARD IS UNRECOGNISABLE

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Have just returned from circumnavigation of Australia on Queen Elizabeth. I chose Cunard as I have always found them to provide impeccable 5-star service, am Diamond level and have previously enjoyed all aspects of cruising with Cunard. When I started cruising with Cunard in 2003, the ships and the whole experience were all 5-star but now QE would barely rank a 3-star rating in nearly all ...

We chose this cruise because the offer from the travel company (Imagine Cruising) seemed great. In hindsight it wasn't all that terrific. First of all, the ship is beautiful. Very understated, but at the same time oppulent. Beautiful chandeliers, nice rooms to relax in. Our stateroom (1105) was great. We stayed in that cabin for 5 weeks (Barcelona to Sydney). Room steward Steven was ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

This was our 38th cruise and our second on Cunard (we were on Queen Victoria before). Pros The ports of call on this 14day western Mediterranean voyage were very nice, and we managed to enjoy them all, even though we have been to most of them many times already; Some of the venues, lobby and a few niches look good and subdued, classic but not too stuffy; The main dining room ...

Disappointing

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

The Alaska itinerary was as we expected and included 2 days viewing glaciers at close range. We have sailed the QE before, and the food was disappointing this time. We like lamb, but it was on the dinner menu 4 times on one week, plus some lunches. The same was true of orange roughy. There was a sirloin steak once, but no other steaks in the main dining room. No filet mignon, and no New York ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We chose this cruise because although we had sailed QM2 several times Transatlantic, we had never been on the QE. The dates fit our schedule—sail the QM2 over to Southampton, a week in England and sail the QE back Southampton to Fort Lauderdale. Our leg was the beginning of the QE’s longer leg, she will be sailing over a month, all the way to Alaska. My observations: Embarkation in Southampton ...

We chose a back to back cruise to celebrate our birthdays. The first 12 nights we were Club Balcony and the second 17 nights on Princess Grills. I will talk about dining later. The Club Balcony we chose was on deck 7 with an extended very large curved balcony, the stateroom is similar to most other balcony cabins but at an increased cost due to the Club Dining. Most Club Balconies offered are ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

I picked this cruise for my wife’s birthday and the fact that it was only a week. We had a suite at the back of the boat. Having not cruised before I feel I was I’ll advised on the location of the cabin as we felt the full movement of the boat. The food and service was very good however there are hidden costs that I was not made aware of, namely the service charges. 15% is added to every ...

Our main purpose was to visit Madeira on New Year’s Eve.the fireworks are a must to see and did not disappoint. Check in included a covid test which meant my wife pushing my wheelchair quite a distance through qualming system which was unnecessary there were less than a dozen people queuing. We then entered the main terminal where we received our test results fairly quickly and boarded the ...

The ship is a bit tired and the technology is out of date

We had already cruised 4 times since June 2021, once with MSC, once with P&O, twice with Princess, but Cunard has always been our favourite, we are Diamond Loyalty with Cunard, so we were really looking forward to this 12 night cruise around the Western Mediterranean, however we were quite disappointed. If the aim of your cruise is to just read books, sleep and eat, then you would find it meets ...
