Some good, some not so good

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Embarkation was a breeze in Quebec city with the princess medallion. However, navigating the app was very frustrating. Ship was very clean and most of the staff was terrific. Bartenders were outstanding, but dining venues needed more staff and better organization. They have gone completely to anytime dining and you make reservations through the app, IF you're lucky enough to get the time you ...

Never again will my wife and i sail on princess cruises. I am age 51, this is my 20th cruise (4 princess, 5 ncl, 4 holland america, 3 carnival, 3 royal caribbean, and 1 celebrity) and this by far was my wife and i's worst cruise experience ever! It did not come close to meeting our expectations. The experience was so poor that while on this cruise we canceled an upcoming 7 day mexican riviera ...

Very Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Silver Whisper

We chose the cruise starting in Quebec City and ending in New York City, stopping in ports along the St Lawrence Seaway. We were eager to see what Silver Sea had to offer, since they bill themselves as an all-suites luxury line. Among the better aspects of the cruise were the ports and excursions. We also enjoyed meeting some very congenial people. Now for the truly disappointing aspects. ...

First room smelled like sewage so we did not even unpack. Was moved to room the air didn’t work. Then they moved us to the Covid-19’s and isolation section. Did not say a word about being isolated section we just kept seeing more and more doors blocked red stickers on doors. Why would you place at risk seniors in the middle of an isolation section. Is this not elder abuse. I ask if the CDC ...

Not up to expectations

We just finished 22 Days on Silver Whisper doing a B2B Fall Foliage/Canada cruise. There were some very good things, but there were instances that didn’t reflect well on Silversea. Unfortunately, the expression "You Get What You Pay For" did not apply here. As background, we’ve cruised dozens of times, mainly on Crystal, as well as Regent, Oceania, Celebrity, HAL, Lindblad, and most ...

Writing this now because I can not believe that SilverSea has been named best luxury cruise line. As far as we are concerned never again. To start with the positives- our butler and steward were both absolutely fantastic. So were the staff in the medical centre which I visited each day to have a dressing changed . However the praise stops there. Food, decor and entertainment all very ...

Giving Princess Cruises another chance.

This was our 6th cruise with Princess after a 7-year hiatus due to issues we had with the last Princess cruise we took. But this itinerary was appealing so we decided to give Princess another chance. The ship was in fine shape for its age, having been refurbished in 2019. We always get a mini-suite, and it was also in good shape. The bed was very comfortable. The bathtub was a little dated ...

What a Disappointing First Post Covid Cruise

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Caribbean Princess

I really wanted to enjoy this cruise. I did. To be honest, my family and I had a great time and enjoyed each other's company in our first family vacation since the bulk of the pandemic has (hopefully) in the rear view mirror. What brings folks together is often a common problem - in this case the cruise line, staff, and food. Embarkation and Debarkation were well oiled machines. Well ...
