Overall the cruise was very good. ship is dated and could use a facelift…our balcony cabin was fine but with some glitches..had to call guest services right away to fix air conditioning which wasn’t working well. The safe had issues with keypad sticking.. had to call twice for assistance. Balcony was not great and furniture was old one chair even had a big paint splotch on it. First two nights ...

Chose this cruise because we wanted to see Fall Colors in Canada/New England and had had favorable experiences on Princess in the past. However, this is an OLD ship (2004 refurbished 2019) and shows its age as well as lack of modern amenities. Although we didn't pay the most for our oceanview cabin we did not expect it to have bunk beds which protruded from the wall on either side of the queen ...

Disappointed

We just returned from a cruise on the Caribbean Princes. We departed Quebec City and ended in NY. Overall, the cruise was very disappointing. Pre-covid we had traveled on two cruises with Princes. These were much better and based on these experiences we booked the cruise in late Sept. of this year. The difference is noticeable. The cruise lines took on huge new debt during the ...

Cruise or Prison Ship?

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Sky

This was a 10 day cruise out of Quebec with stops in Sagunay, Charlottetown, Sydney, Portland, Boston, Martha's Vineyard, and ending in Baltimore. Due to hurricane Lee, we missed Sydney and Portland, then finally, on the only day that it wasn't raining, we skipped Martha's Vineyard due to "sea conditions and wind." It was a beautiful day, so now it's another two sea days. All told, in 10 days we ...

Never Again with Norwegian

We picked this cruise as it was sold as 8 ports of call with only 2 days at sea, and it ended up being virtually the opposite - 7 days at sea. Rather than stay in port along the St. Lawrence, the Captain opted to go into the Atlantic and outrun Hurricane Lee. His actions appeared to be in the sole interest of getting the ship back to Balitmore to pick up the next 2,000 guests versus prioritizing ...

Needs Serious Refurbishing

We choose this cruise because it travelled to places in Canada we have never been..... and still haven't been to. We did encounter the pre bits of Hurricane Lee and the Captain made the decision to skip Charlestown, PEI, Halifax, NS and Bar Harbor, MN and shelter for 3 days in Boston. So we missed over 60% of our cruise and spent 3 calm days in Boston for a Hurricane that never came... beyond ...

Worst food ever

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Silver Shadow

We chose this cruise because we had heard that the food was excellent and the excursions good. The ship is only 3 years old but looks much older. We tried every restaurant on the ship, even La Dame where we had to pay $60 each extra. Le Dame was by far the best of a bad bunch but the meals were still sub par. The terrace restaurant was basically inedible. Even the buffet which was poorly ...

Zuiderdam Boston to Quebec City b2b Quebec City to Boston 8/26/2023-9/92023 My wife and I have over fifty cruises and our favorite cruise lines are, in no particular order, Holland America, Princess and Celebrity. We would not turn down a Royal Caribbean or Carnival if the timing and itinerary were to our liking. We chose the b2b Boston-Quebec-Boston for a two week get away aboard ...

Old ship and downmarket and very disorganized

Oh my so many things to say. I will start positive by saying that the staff in the coral dining room are amazing but the rest are quite inattentive and either not knowledgeable or not helpful. This cruise is not what I thought it would be. They have an app that you have to use constantly on board and it is super glitchy. It’s supposed to work do that you can order things and they find you ...

Some good, some not so good

Embarkation was a breeze in Quebec city with the princess medallion. However, navigating the app was very frustrating. Ship was very clean and most of the staff was terrific. Bartenders were outstanding, but dining venues needed more staff and better organization. They have gone completely to anytime dining and you make reservations through the app, IF you're lucky enough to get the time you ...
