Wouldn't sail on this ship again. The crew is not to blame, NCL is.

On this cruise, I learned that you get what you pay for! For the price that I paid as a solo traveller, the cruise was just barely OK, so in a way, I have to admit that it's nice that there are choices for bargain hunters, but personally, I will use more caution when booking a cruise in the future, as this cruise, food, ship and choice of activities did not meet my expectations. I am a rather ...

Worse food that I ever ate on a cruise.

The BOGO airfare worked well for us. Check in was a breeze. Our ocean view room was fine & kept clean. We enjoyed the entertainment. All the servers, bar tenders & personnel went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. Two of our ports were cancelled in Halifax & St John due to weather. We had an extra sea day & stop in Portland MA. Also we couldn't tender in Martha's Vineyard. ...

Make sure your doorway isn't used for the cleaning cart with laundry, dirty plates & glasses, garbage etc most daily hrs. Terrible system! Rip off $10 charge for ANY room service on top of grat. Burger buffet is always the same- no variety except for a few Indian dishes. No am turkey bacon or sausage that other lines serve. All beef items were low quality. No cream for coffee. No good movies & ...

After more than 30 years of cruising on all the major cruise lines, I now think that Norwegian Cruise Lines has become the best value in the industry, especially for those who prefer to cruise solo.  While legacy cruise lines seem hostile to singles (usually charging solos 200%, but couples get a discount on the second passenger), NCL is the opposite and offers solo cruisers regular cabins with no ...

This was a 10 day cruise out of Quebec with stops in Sagunay, Charlottetown, Sydney, Portland, Boston, Martha's Vineyard, and ending in Baltimore. Due to hurricane Lee, we missed Sydney and Portland, then finally, on the only day that it wasn't raining, we skipped Martha's Vineyard due to "sea conditions and wind." It was a beautiful day, so now it's another two sea days. All told, in 10 days we ...

We picked this cruise as it was sold as 8 ports of call with only 2 days at sea, and it ended up being virtually the opposite - 7 days at sea. Rather than stay in port along the St. Lawrence, the Captain opted to go into the Atlantic and outrun Hurricane Lee. His actions appeared to be in the sole interest of getting the ship back to Balitmore to pick up the next 2,000 guests versus prioritizing ...

Our first cruise

While the ship and sailing company were chosen for us, as this originally started as big group/family trip, I wouldn't have chosen any other for our first cruise experience. The ship was fun, full of entertainment, food was delicious and abundant, but most of all we are extremely pleased with how incredibly clean the entire ship was maintained! We had the pleasure of being able to enjoy the ...

I choose the cruise based on a lot of ports and few sea days. Found out that that was no shuttle from the train station to the ship. Had to walk a half mile with my cane leading the way. Our room was under the bridge and was very drafty with wind coming in around the balcony door most of the trip. It was next to impossible at every port to get a wheelchair for disembarking the ship. I had to ...

Restaurants: special dinning was not worth the price. the food was not great quality and served warm. The servers were very good and tried their best to assist. The meat in Cagney's was extremely poor quality and stringy. The main dinning room turned out to be better than the special restaurants (disappointing) Entertainment: the acts in the theater were excellent as was the ...

Very good cruise and experience. To see the fall colors was spectacular and the daily tours were well organized and wonderful. We ate in the specialty restaurants 6 nights of the 13, and the Cafe other nights. We also enjoyed O'Sheenans for lunches. Originally from upstate NY, we just had never been to the provinces, except Quebec. They were delightful and all so different. Returning to ...
