Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Crystal Serenity

In October 2023, my wife and I took the Crystal Serenity’s 12-day cruise along the east coast of Canada and the United States. We’ve frequently cruised on this ship since 2010. Though the Crystal Serenity is now on its third owner, it’s better than ever. I rate this cruise as outstanding (an overall “5” on a scale of 5). My score is based on the high quality of (1) remodeled, enlarged ...

Fair warning, this is a LONG and DETAILED review. I read lots of reviews but at 55, I have found to take most of them with a grain of salt. Everyone is different so you need to take away from reviews specifics that apply to you. I do not take any stock in reviews that make negative comments for things that are completely out of control by nature and certain things. People who complain that a ...

Crystal Serenity Sets the Standard for Luxury

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Crystal Serenity

We wanted to see the fall foliage and get back to sailing on Crystal. The cruise exceeded our expectations. The ship has been updated and was in great shape. Our Junior Penthouse was comfortable, well-appointed and filled with every luxury we wanted. The service on Serenity was top-notch. From the moment we boarded the ship we felt like were home. The embarkation was smooth and seamless. We ...

A solid cruise on a fantastic itinerary

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We recently came back from a 10-day Canada/New England cruise from Quebec City to NYC aboard the Caribbean Princess. While the ship-related aspects were quite good—at times excellent—the itinerary itself made it perhaps our favorite cruises thus far and should be on everyone’s cruise bucket list. Plenty of details about both the ship and the ports in this long review. Background: My wife ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Zuiderdam

I just want to add a more positive note over any bad or poor reviews that have been posted about the Holland America Zuiderdam. Unfortunately many CC writers believe that when people want to know what they think, they only write the negative. We had a lovely Canada & New England cruise ending in Ft. Lauderdale after 2 sea days. The slim shipboard theater entertainment was more than ...

Very good cruise and experience. To see the fall colors was spectacular and the daily tours were well organized and wonderful. We ate in the specialty restaurants 6 nights of the 13, and the Cafe other nights. We also enjoyed O'Sheenans for lunches. Originally from upstate NY, we just had never been to the provinces, except Quebec. They were delightful and all so different. Returning to ...

While the ship and sailing company were chosen for us, as this originally started as big group/family trip, I wouldn't have chosen any other for our first cruise experience. The ship was fun, full of entertainment, food was delicious and abundant, but most of all we are extremely pleased with how incredibly clean the entire ship was maintained! We had the pleasure of being able to enjoy the ...

Great Cruise

Great cruise. We loved the Caribbean Princess ship. Enjoyed all the ports of call. Prince Edward Island was our favorite. We had an inside cabin B244. It was small but we were not in the cabin that much except to sleep and change clothes. It met our needs very well. It was in the front of the ship and it was a long walk to the rear of the ship to dine. The Medallion worked opening the ...

DINING/DRINKS/SERVICE: We paid for the Meal Specialty Dining Package, Adult Ultimate Beverage Package and the Prepaid Service Charge. It was money well spent and a great value. We were able to eat at four specialty restaurants and the food in each was excellent. The Venetian Main Dining Room also had great food. Some of the desserts were better than what we had in the Specialty Restaurants. ...

Simply Outstanding

This was our second Norwegian cruise and our first "cold-water" cruise. It was also our first experience cruising in a suite. To start, as others have pointed out, the ship was wonderfully refurbished although the layout remains quirky. That said, by day 2 it was easy to figure out where everything was and the best way to get their. Next the staff, start to finish, outstanding. El, ...
