I wanted to see Canada during colorful Fall weather and I was NOT disappointed. Love that we have graduated to suite category now. Butler and Concierge are really nice touches. Was not as impressed with Teppanyaki chefs as I have been on other ships. Although the food was good, their flare was not impressive.. Cagney's Steakhouse was great. Moderno Brazillian Steakhouse was not great except for the filet mingion, which was delicious. The other cuts were cooked too done, even tho I told them medium. .Breakfast there was good.. Shows were good and a great variety.. I do not like the fact that very few cabins have shower stalls. Majority have tub/shower combo and this one was too deep for me to get my leg over. I wish they would take this into consideration of us older folks. . It was not a handicapped room, but there was a grab bar by the toilet, which I appreciated. Read Less

We decided on this itinerary because of the many ports of call in both Canada and the U.S.. The ports of lived up to our every expectation. The on board experience was even better. The dining whether in the buffet, dining room or speciality rooms a was as fine as any on the seas. All of the entertainment was equal to or better than that found in professional productions in major cities. If asked what surprised us most about this cruise it was the entertainment on board, being well above that found on other cruises. Every crew member was very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to may our time on board the enjoyable. Including but not limited to embarkation to disembarkation. Our Princess planned shore excursions were well designed and fit their description. This being our 17th cruise overall and 5th on Princess we were the experts in our group. The couple we traveled with had only cruised on a European River Cruise before this trip, they were very impressed, stating that they are looking forward to returning. Read Less

There were many older people on this cruise but everyone was nice and they knew how to have a good time. I would not recommend for younger crowd. The staff was wonderful which is the norm for NCL. I have cruised this line 6 times and each and every time have had a great experience. The shows were very good. The food was tasty and the portion sizes just right. We took a mid-ship inside cabin and although small we are only in the cabin to change and sleep. Also, there is not much to see if you get a balcony on this cruise. Quebec City and Halifax were beautiful and so clean. I recommend the 2 hour nature cruise excursion in Bar Harbor. It was informative and you did actually see wildlife and you still have time to check out the City. The Bay of Fundy excursion was kind of a bust as it was boring although you did get a decent lunch and get to see several different areas. Pre-cruise we stayed at the Grand Times Hotel in Quebec City. Very reasonably priced, large room and bathroom. You will need to ask for extra towels at check in as they only provide one towel:) The check in process after midnight was efficient and the staff very nice. We took a cab from airport to hotel and from hotel to cruise ship. This hotel only takes you to the airport. Read Less

Repositioning from Quebec to Ft. Lauderdale, where our home is in Hollywood. There were only 3 children on board, making it an adults only cruise. Great people to enjoy a treat and coffee at the International Café. The original production shows in the theater were outstanding. Very relaxing and the food as always was spectacular. MILK: I really enjoyed the whole milk as a treat on board. I asked but never found out the source of the dairy milk, but it was good with every meal I had on board. It could have been a little colder, but I put ice in it and it was memorable. By accident we joined the Cruise Critics for lunch, but were welcomed and had a enjoyable time. We are dedicated Princess Repositioning Cruisers. We have been to China, Europe, Panama Canal, and South America. As soon as we get home we start looking for our next cruise Lee and Lourdes Read Less

We had not ever toured the NE coast of the US or the Maritime provinces, so this cruise leaving from NYC and calling in MA ME and NovasScotia and Prince Edward Island was a treat. Then sailing up the St Lawrence seaway into Quebec was interesting. Quebec City is historically appealing recalling grade school history of the Colonial period of both the US and Canada. Amusing hearing French spoken and being in a French inspired city and knowing we,e still in N. America. We had hoped to see the changing of the leaves but we were too early. Sailing later in September would have been better or October. We heard later sailors did see more color but also more rain and overcast sky. We had beautiful warm clear days. The SS Zuiderdam was about right for our tastes. Decoration was a bit garish is some respects but service was first class. Entertainment was just enough, we really enjoyed more the cocktail hour piano and violin duo in of the lounges. Piano bar and dance combo were adequate. Limited stage productions were Ok, we did not expect or want Broadway or vegas style. The passenger list of about 1800 was about our limit. W can't imagine a ship of 000 to 5000 as being very enjoyable. We did not need a lot of extras. We enjoyed the experience and would sail HA again. Read Less
