Sorry Not Sorry For Lengthy Thorough Review

Review for Quantum of the Seas to Asia

Warning This is an extremely lengthy review but detailed based on my personal experiences on my sailing date of August 16-23, 2018. There are section headings so feel free to skip ahead if it gets too wordy. I learn so much from the information others have shared and I like to give back to the CC community. I find that the Quantum reviews were really lacking while I was doing my information ...

This is a very different cruising experience. There were 4000+ Mainland Chinese and 500 non Chinese which created a completely different vibe on the ship. We had a taxi from our downtown hotel, 45 minutes, 260 yuan on the meter. We were dropped by the check in area, handed in our luggage which we had already tagged and were in our cabin within an hour of being dropped off. Cabin was ...

The Great and the Not-so-Great

Review for Quantum of the Seas to Asia

We had visited our daughter who lives in South Korea and the cruise was convenient, in the same region. The Great: The ship is magnificent, easily the most beautiful we have sailed on, from the elegance of the spacious stateroom to the beauty of the "Royal Esplanade" to the spectacular art that is featured throughout the ship. The staff whether house-keeping or dining or event personnel were ...

Don't do it

Review for Quantum of the Seas to Asia

Cruise terminal is approx 30 mins from the centre of Shanghai - ¥200 ish for a cab from Nanjing rd. Check in process was quick and easy for international passengers as the bulk of guests are locals. Whilst the ship itself is stunning and elegant, it also offers plenty of great activities such as indoor skydiving, the north star, bumper cars, bionic bar, basketball court and the flowrider. In ...

Disembarkation management in Shanghai was chaotic.

Review for Quantum of the Seas to World Cruise

It was very much regretted that all the great moments we had enjoyed so much on board was ended with poorly managed disembarkation process. During the chaos, all the crews were too busy with incoming guests and not caring the outgoing guests properly and not even informing the outgoing guests what really happened rather than keep them waiting in a long line . We were forced to get out from the ...

R.C.I. No More

Review for Quantum of the Seas to World Cruise

Having done more than forty cruises, ten of which have been with R.C.I. this is without doubt the worst cruise my wife and I have ever been on. The problems started before the cruise began with total confusion over the need for an Indian Visa. Despite the fact that I made it known to R.C.I. that I did not intend getting off the ship in Cochin I was informed that I would not be allowed on the ship ...

Review for Quantum of the Seas to Transatlantic

We went on transatlantic cruise from NJ to Barcelona and it was perfect. It was my 31st cruise, 9th on RCl. Don’t believe bad reviews, it is amazing ship. If you are looking for traditional dining, you will be disappointed, but you are adventurous and willing to try different restaurants, you will love it. The variety of choices for dinner is excellent. In 11 days we did not have a bad meal, no ...

Great Ship, but Disappointed with the Dining

I just came off of Quantum of the Seas a few hours ago. Overall, here is my synopsis: Check-in and Check-out--quick and effortless Architecture--beautifully grand ship Cleanliness--A+ Variety of Activities: Lots! My family enjoyed iFly, bumper cars, rollerskating, and pool games. Dining--Dynamic Dining was not so dynamic. You can't get reservations unless you make them very far ...

Still waiting for the "WOW"

My wife and I booked this cruise with my boss and co-workers family's. This was our 10th Royal Caribbean cruise (best ship is the Allure hands down). We departed Cape Liberty New Jersey. It's the first time we've drove to the ship as we usually fly to Florida but this time the location lent itself to driving it from Michigan. Great choice. The drive was great and the parking is so easy at the ...

Don't let the negative Quantum reviews influence you. We left San Diego with some concerns from the reviews but they were quickly dashed by the experience. The only factor that was the a problem was the frigid weather prior to boarding. We are re-thinking travel during winter months. Think Florida or other warmer weather port would be better. This was particularly true after the cruise was over as ...
