This is a very different cruising experience. There were 4000+ Mainland Chinese and 500 non Chinese which created a completely different vibe on the ship.
We had a taxi from our downtown hotel, 45 minutes, 260 yuan on the meter. We were dropped by the check in area,handed in our luggage which we had already tagged and were in our cabin within an hour of being dropped off.

Cruise terminal is approx 30 mins from the centre of Shanghai - ¥200 ish for a cab from Nanjing rd. Check in process was quick and easy for international passengers as the bulk of guests are locals.

Don't let the negative Quantum reviews influence you. We left San Diego with some concerns from the reviews but they were quickly dashed by the experience.
