Much Better than I Anticipated

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Quantum of the Seas

It is hard to reconcile my experience with all those negative reviews I have read. The embarkation was the best I have ever experienced. It took less than five minutes to board the ship upon my arrival. I had an inside cabin and think the virtual balcony is terrific. The floor to ceiling tv screen really makes you feel you have an actual window. I think the ship is beautiful. It looks like ...

This was our 7th RCI cruise. Like many others I had concerns as I followed all of the reviews for this ship since last November. First dynamic dinning was not an issue. I had made dinner reservations for 5 of the nights months before we left. Each of the complimentary restaurants have 2 lines. One for those with reservations & one for those without. We never had to wait for the 5 evenings where we ...

RCI must have been reading their bad reviews.

I was getting nervous with all the negative reviews and well known SNAFUs of dining reservations on Quantum. But, I must say, we had a blast. First, to preface, we are first timers so we don't have cruises to compare the ship to, but we know fine dining, good hotels and we know what a correct service experience should be. We also are a couple, no kids to entertain. We did not experience ...

MIXED FEELINGS

I read so much negative comment about this ship to the point I started to worry about the trip (my 18th cruise, 6th on RCCL). We got to the terminal about 10:30 am but there were already several hundred people checked in inside the building. The check in was kind of ok, with one young staff member giving us wrong info inside the terminal, luckily another lady clerk stepped in & got it all taken ...

One of the Last Quantum from New York Sailings

I was on the April 5th 2015 Quantum sailing. One of the last before Quantum leaves for China. Overall it was a very good trip. There were some hiccups, and service was ok. Probably mostly cause they were in the middle of training all the new crew members that are taking over once the ship gets to the Far East. It was also crowded with a lot of kids, but that's because several states give the ...

An Attempt at an Objective review

It is now one week since we disembarked the Quantum of the Seas. Our cruise mates, my wife and I have sailed on about 40 cruises, most of them together. We've been on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, NCL, Viking and Avalon. I have reviewed many different places we visit and try to be fair, objective and understanding. Quantum of the Seas is certainly bold, innovative, and daring. We ...

The ship is high tech on the high seas. Arrived at port of liberty at 1015 am and was on the ship at noon. There is no special advantage to being a diamond member since people sit in relation to time scheduled by the computer assigned to you. No bus ride the ship and platform to deck 5 are there. The ship is beautiful and has such features as bumper cars, North star skydiving ,the circus swing ...

Dynamic Dining

The ship was beatiful and had a lot going for it; however the Dynamic Dining stinks. The crew, service and food was as usual very good with a lot of choices in each restruant. Having cruised on several different ships in different classes I prefer them over the Quantum; even the Brillance which is one of the smallest was better. Our favorate is the Allure, the Explorer also is a great ship. I ...

Great Ship, but Disappointed with the Dining

I just came off of Quantum of the Seas a few hours ago. Overall, here is my synopsis: Check-in and Check-out--quick and effortless Architecture--beautifully grand ship Cleanliness--A+ Variety of Activities: Lots! My family enjoyed iFly, bumper cars, rollerskating, and pool games. Dining--Dynamic Dining was not so dynamic. You can't get reservations unless you make them very far ...

After many remarks about Carnival being the Wal-Mart of cruise ships and 8 cruises on Carnival, my husband, sister in law and brother in law and myself decided to try the Quantum of the Seas. The Quantum had so many experiences to try that we hadn't done. The staterooms were not much different that our 6 other balcony staterooms, with the exception to the shower being much more cramped in the ...
