We chose the Coral Princess as we knew that the mattresses had been replaced recently. (We had problems with this on a prior Princess cruise.) The mattress was great! This was the first time we had a mini-suite and appreciated the extra space. Our cabin was on the port side almost at the back of the ship, but there were no issues being so far back. Land portion was great - except for placing your suitcase in the hallway of the Lodges about 6 am. Nice accommodations at three Princess lodges, pricey food in dining rooms, excellent included tour packages.
(By the way, nobody mentioned that a FOOD PACKAGE was available for Lodges and train ride! Would have been nice and saved us some money.)

Loved the cruise however this ship has seen better days. There are maintenance issues with sewer smells in the stairwells, tattered furniture in public areas and bathrooms that have holes in the doors, with lots of rust all around. Studied the internet with reviews and decided on the Coral based on size, dining, and itinerary. This was our first cruise and it was for our 30th anniversary so it needed to be special.
