Great Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose the Coral Princess as we knew that the mattresses had been replaced recently. (We had problems with this on a prior Princess cruise.) The mattress was great! This was the first time we had a mini-suite and appreciated the extra space. Our cabin was on the port side almost at the back of the ship, but there were no issues being so far back. In fact, it's a very quiet location and was ...

Land and Sea - southbound

Land portion was great - except for placing your suitcase in the hallway of the Lodges about 6 am. Nice accommodations at three Princess lodges, pricey food in dining rooms, excellent included tour packages. (By the way, nobody mentioned that a FOOD PACKAGE was available for Lodges and train ride! Would have been nice and saved us some money.) Cruise was okay - not bad, not great. Since the ...

Island Princess Alaska

Loved the cruise however this ship has seen better days. There are maintenance issues with sewer smells in the stairwells, tattered furniture in public areas and bathrooms that have holes in the doors, with lots of rust all around. Our Balcony cabin was nice and our steward was very attentive. Service was to be expected in the dinning room but nothing above and beyond. Entertainment was just ok ...

Amazing scenic alaska

I liked the idea of a one way cruise, rather than a round-trip journey. Very smooth embarkation process. The scenery couldn't have been more stunning, and we were favored with good weather 6 out of 7 days; I've been told that's a rare occurrence! Crew and staff were delightful and very professional in every way. The ship is a little dated but comfortable enough. Decorations are bland and ...

Studied the internet with reviews and decided on the Coral based on size, dining, and itinerary. This was our first cruise and it was for our 30th anniversary so it needed to be special. We did the Princess Transfer from the airport to Whittier. We left Anchorage around 12pm and we were on the ship in less than 2 hours. Going in early May it was too icy to get close to the Hubbard Glacier. I ...

Travel Agent suggested it because Princess handles everything in Alaska for tours. Everything well handled. Non of the on board activity suited us, but we did use the free library. We are over 60 but not interested in shows, casinos, playing games. Recommend constant check of on ship credits from customer service - if you don't pay gratuity (approx $13.80 for each meal) ahead is taken ...

Overall I was disappointed with the service we received. From everything I had heard and read I was expecting better service. I felt you are constantly nickel and dimed. we also had an unfortunate incident, we paid for the special coffee card, planning on having cappochino coffees through out the week. First day at sea we had our first cup. Terrible, 3 times they tried to remake it. When we asked ...

friends already booked trip through their travel agent The dining rooms had very good service, but some of the selections were not part of the average American's diet! The ship had many Asian citizens, and the buffet always had Asian food. The lunch menu was extremely disappointing. The desserts were awesome, as was the pizza. The ship was kept very clean. Some of our travel members received ...

We picked the land and sea 11 day tour so we could appreciate Alaska's way of life as well as seeing animals in the wild and the ice glaciers. We accomplished everything we had wanted to see and do. Princess Cruise gave us a great experience on land and sea. They have their act together from the time you land and until you disembark. we purchased the meal ticket and saved a bundle. The food was ...
