My wife and I are experienced cruisers with more than 15 cruises with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. I wanted to try a Premium cruise line and Costco had a good deal on this cruise which is a 14 day East/West Caribbean, so we went for it despite the mixed reviews. We are still on the ship starting the second week but I wanted to share my impressions.
We booked everything through ...
Overall I had a wonderful cruise. The weather was perfect except for one really hot day. The ports were as expected. Nice and relaxing with no major sites to see but good places to just enjoy. The ship is definitely showing some age but the smaller size is wonderful. I stayed in C2**. I loved staying on the 10th floor. Perfect location for anything I wanted to do. The gym opened at 6 am ...
We chose this ship due to the high prices on cruises these days. Princess was reasonable not the cheapest but okay for the ports.
Ship is older but clean. Many areas of deferred Maintenace while it listed as being refurbed it needs another one soon and much updating. I did enjoy my cruise mostly because the crew was so fun to be around. The entertainment seemed board with their jobs. the ...
I have been on several cruises in the Caribbean but I chose this one for the itinerary of Panama Canal and South America.
I was pleasantly surprised how fast embarkation process was, no wonder since I spent hours downloading all necessary documents and photos on the Princess App beforehand. My only complaint there was no wi-fi at the Terminal at Ft. Lauderdale so I could not open the App. I ...
Changes are noticeable on my first cruise after covid…
the personal attention is missing. All was good but not what it used to be.
1. State room attention limited(wanted to shampoo carpet while i was onshore)
no personal shampoos etc.
Daily room clean up limited
2. Room service - food was just not as good & limited.
3. Restaurant -i enjoyed most of my dinners ...
We usually cruise every year with a church related group, usually to the Caribbean. This was our first post COVID.
This was our 5th cruise all with Princess, 3 of them previously were on Crown class ships so we knew what to expect.
We had stateroom E726, a mini suite on Emerald Deck toward the stern. It was a good location as one set of stairs down you were on the promenade deck, and some of ...
For frame of reference this was my 7th cruise, 1st with Princess. I’ve cruised with Celebrity, Royal, Disney, and Carnival so that’s what I had to compare against.
Overall this was a very enjoyable week! While not perfect, it’s was VERY good! (I don’t know how people can go on a cruise just to come home and post how miserable they were on Cruise Critic). The itinerary was sailing to Roatan, ...
This was our 17th cruise on many different lines (Carnival, Celebrity, Cunard, Holland America, NCL and Royal Caribbean) and wanted to try Princess to see if it’s any better.
We flew from Ontario to Ft. Lauderdale the day before the cruise and stayed at the Hampton Inn Airport North which was great.
Embarkation/Disembarkation –The embarkation was delayed by almost 2 hours due to a Norovirus ...
We chose this cruise because 4 of the 6 people in our group had never seen the Panama Canal. The itinerary wasn't all that great but the canal was the highlight of the trip. The first stop was Falmouth, Jamaica. Nothing much to report here since we had all been to Jamaica before so got off walked around and back on again. Next stop was Cartagena, had never been here so booked a hop on hop off ...
This was our 24th. cruise overall and 10th. on Princess. We stick with Princess now because they offer a classic cruise experience without all the theme park trappings and children running wild. And their staff is outstanding, well trained, and eager to help. From the room steward to the buffet staff to the main dining room waiters, everyone was friendly and efficient. Even the executive and ...
