Ruby Princess eastern Mediterrean October 2013

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Ruby Princess

Despite being fully booked with 3000 passengers there was no time We ever felt crowded or had to wait an excessive time. The ship seems to have the right balance between space and passengers in the lounges and decks. The cruise was port intensive ie 10 ports in tens days ( and the ship made them all ) with only one tender day at santorini. Independent touring in the ports was very easy and ...

Changes mostly for the good!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Princess

We were VERY pleased with our Trans-Atlantic cruise aboard the new Royal. Our main complaint was that there were TOO MANY " Elite" level passengers on board...and we are at that level. They flooded the laundry to a ridiculous situation. Yes, Princess should have expected that and had a plan in effect. The ship is beautiful and functional in most ways. Change is hard for many to face. The ...

GREAT FIRST-EVER CRUISE !!

Review for a Greece Cruise on Ruby Princess

This was my sister and I's first cruise. We booked a mini-suite, on the recommendation of others. It was wonderful! Nice, roomy, decent bathroom and closet space, plus a cabinet and safe. The room also had a "living area" with couch, chair and table. Two TV's, storage and counter space allowed plenty of places for our collections along the way. Also included was a small refrigerator. Of course, ...

Sailed on the Ruby, 21-night Venice to Barcelona, September 21-October 12, 2013. This was our 4th Princess cruise, 2nd on Ruby. This was a great trip - ZERO complaints. Husband is gluten free. I can not tell you how absolutely fabulous the staff was in accommodating his needs - and many other people with various food allergies. NEVER had an issue, had multiple waiters, but Francesco, the head ...

Although our cruise was shortened due to a mechanical issue, our time on the Royal Princess was incredible. I cannot say enough about the staff, they were personable, entertaining, knowledgable and had a complete understanding of what "customer service" is, and how service can make or break a persons vacation. Food We made it our mission not to over- eat as it is easy to do on cruise ships. We ...

We sailed on the Ruby on Sept 21st from Venice with stops in Dubrovnik, Istanbul, Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes, Corfu, Kusadasi, Naples, and Crete. It was a very port intensive cruise but that is why we picked it! The ship was in good shape and we were warmly greeted by every crew member. We had arrived a day ahead of time and stayed at Ca'Doge which is right next to the People Mover and the bus ...

We just returned from a 7 day cruise from Venice to Athens. Background information: we have been on 30 plus cruises on Princess, RC, Celebrity, Holland America, NCL and Carnival. We chose this cruise for its length and ports of Venice, Croatia and Istanbul. We flew from NY to Venice the day before the cruise left. After landing in Venice, we took a water taxi to our hotel. It is a little ...

1/2 cruise was better than no cruise at all!

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Princess

OK, so we broke down 1/2 way thru the trip. I would still get back on and do it all over again! I feel I have been on enough cruises to give you a realistic view of this ship and what to expect. The ship, being brand new is everything and more than you would expect. The Piazza is beautiful and SO much larger than all the rest of the ships. Entertainment in the Princess Theater was good, not great. ...

An amazing holiday

We caught a water taxi to the ship door to door from our Venice Hotel to the port where we were met by Princess staff. Embarkation was easy and we settled into our room prior to having some lunch in the buffet. We had chosen the 6:15 dinner seating and had a table for 2. We enjoyed the company of the people near us and we thought the food was excellent. This cruise was 3 weeks and many people were ...

We loved our cruise on Royal Princess for the first nine days, unfortunately the ship had mechanical problems and we had to disembark in Naples. No ones fault and we were compensated very well by the cruise company and eventually ended in Barcelona. The ship was fantastic and we loved our cabin mini suite on Aloha deck. Our balcony was plenty big enough to sit outside and enjoy breakfast of just ...
