The food was disappointing. All the seafood smelled terrible. To the point that you could tell when a seafood plate was coming your way. We avoided all seafood after not having a good time at sabatinis. All other food was ok but nothing special. The Caesar salad was terrible. The food court was not laid our very well. They would shut down the front section of the food court when there were was not ...
Our fifth cruise and almost a repeat itinerary of our cruise on the Ruby Princess last year. Embarking in Venice was well organized. Sailing at 2300 gave a model village look to the city that was lovely. Wonderful opera music played which added to the wonderment. Ravenna provided a brand new city to visit. Excellent coach shuttle service, well done Princess. We dined in the any time dining room, ...
CONFUSING SHIP LAYOUT & PUZZLING HORIZON COURT BUFFET: To get off the back of the boat (think Horizon Court), you had to walk to the Deck 7 Atrium/Midship elevators or stairs. Below Deck 7 aft elevators were used for freight/stairs were blocked. Emergency evacuation would be disastrous. One section of the Horizon Court buffet was Asian food which was puzzling because we were on a Mediterranean ...
Thia was our sixth cruise with Princess and we booked this cruise to celebrate my birthday and because of all the great locations..... we were not disappointed.
Both embarkation and disembarkation were a breeze. On our arrival to Venice, we were met at the airport by princess reps who took our luggage and sent us to the cruise terminal. We were the first group after elite passengers to board ...
This is the largest ship we have been on and are used to 2500 pax size. WHile it didn't seem crowded it seemed to have lost all its personality and I felt when dining like I was in a shopping mall food court sometimes. The staff are well trained and very friendly and obviously work very hard but we didn't feel engaged with anyone. Never saw a Maitre d' or any other senior staff in the restaurant ...
Boarded the ship in Venice - this was a smooth process with not a real queue in sight. In fact this was a consistent theme throughout the cruise, and it came as a really pleasant surprise that 3600 passengers could move about the decks, restaurants and facilities with such ease. This also applied to embarkation and disembarkation, and to the organisation around visiting 8 ports of call; which ...
We just returned back from Europe after sailing a 7 night western Mediterranean cruise. This was only our 4th cruise so we can only compare the Regal against the Royal Caribbean Oasis/Liberty and Carnival Legend. A little about ourselves - we are a couple in our mid 30's with a toddler. We enjoy new experiences and like to try different cruise lines. This was also the first time we cruised with ...
Unedited from iPhone notes: Mediterranean cruise 2014
6/19 arrived by train from Firenze at 1235. No instructions on getting to the ship unless you are with a group. Went to the left out of the train station over the bridge. Not that way. Back over the bridge. Find another bridge to the west of the train station cross it and there is this tiny sign for People mover pointing right but people ...
The Regal Princess exceeded all of my expectations in every aspect. It truly caters to everyone!!!!!! The week was an amazing experience and, even though it had a few flaws, never contained a dull moment onboard. Since this is one of the first reviews, I would like to detail the Pros and Cons about this new ship.
Pros:
1. Horizon Court was the best buffet I have ever had at sea. The choices were ...
We joined Regal Princess on its June 2nd cruise out of Venice. Embarkation was fine and we were on the ship at 1pm. The first things that strikes you as you board is the ships sea-walk protruding out of deck 16 which is quite novel. Once you board you can't but be struck by the most beautiful atrium at sea; the scale of the Piazza along with the combination of all the cream and brown marble is ...
