Review for a Alaska Cruise on Coral Princess

We chose this cruise because of Glacier Bay. And we hadn’t sailed with princes yet. The good. Service staff in the dining room was exceptional. Same with cabin staff. Food was ok in buffet and very good in main dining room. Plenty of room around ship, never felt crowded. The bad. Main dining took forever, every night. I’m talking to hours plus for dinner. Biggest problem ...

Over all we enjoyed our first cruise very much and felt like it was a great value. We give the highest scores on most categories except dining (very good but not excellent). The dining rooms were beautiful and service was very good. We felt the regular menue at each meal was a bit limited and felt somewhat tricked by the pay-extra choices at our first dinner. We didn't know better and ordered ...

My husband and I enjoy cruising and we didn't want to stop after having our beautiful daughter. Alaska was on our short list of cruise destinations and we've heard that Princess is the best cruise line to see Alaska right. We were not disappointed! Vancouver was an easy city to navigate and made for a stress-free embarkation day. The Coral Princess ship felt spacious and gorgeous; it ...

Alaska cruise/land tour

Chose this particular cruise as it had the landtour afterward which had the itinerary we wanted. Ship was 'ok' nothing special or outstanding. In fact we thought it was all looking very old and tired and in desperate need of a major make-over. The cabin mirrored the rest of the ship... tired and dated. The bathroom had a constant musty smell.... i'm guessing from the overflow in the sink ...

Cruise as part of a tour

This cruise was part of a much longer tour- 28 days in all. So, I didn't actually choose this. Now having been on it, I wouldn't do it, or anything like it again. This was my forth cruise, the other three being on much smaller boats with much fewer people which is what I prefer. This trip confirmed it for me. To me the ship looks tired and is in desperate need of a makeover. The main atrium ...

7 day Northbound, Vancouver to Whittier

This was my 7th cruise, 3rd on Princess, and I'm in my early 50's travelling with my wife. My daughters are in university and they are required to pay half the costs of that, so they were a little salty about being left behind in Vancouver to work. Life lessons! We had a wonderful cruise, with the highlights being a sunny day in Glacier Bay, the best buffet we've ever experienced at sea, and ...

My wife and I have had a cruise to Alaska on our bucket list for most of our married lives! We took this cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary and it could not have been better! Princess Cruise lines had a moving Memorial Day gathering! They also have a Military Veteran's get together! My wife and I are both U.S. Air Force veterans! We enjoyed meeting fellow veterans and hearing their ...

Stay away from Princess Cruises if Vegetarian/ Vegan or looking for service

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

We, a group of 15 - mostly vegetarians, took the Royal Princess cruise to Alaska aboard Royal Princess ship from Vancouver on May 25... While the ship is new, comfortable and well decked, the food experience on this ship is a nightmare, particularly, if you happen to be a vegetarian or a vegan. A few weeks prior to boarding/ check in, I had declared my vegetarian status and food restrictions in ...

Good cruise and land package

We flew into Vancouver a few days early to have a look around. Stayed at the sunset inn and suites - it wasn't anything fancy but very clean/comfortable and in a really good location within easy reach of most things, plus a lot of shops/food just a street over. Check-in was good from the Princess side but getting through security/immigration was a bit tedious. Probably almost 1.5 hours in ...

A trip to stunning Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Island Princess

User Avatar

Island Princess was a nice ship. Smaller and less spacious than the previous Royal Princess that we have been on. But we knew this when booking. Shower in cabin is EXTREMELY small. We are small to average size people and found this shower to be very tight. Paid ahead of time for the full photo package however sometimes the photographers left early and set up late so we missed them sometimes. ...
