Having crossed the Atlantic last year from Southampton on the disappointed Sky Princess, our travel companions persuaded us to try again this year on the Enchanted Princess. This year was far better than last. We were disappointed to skip Funchal on the island of Madeira due to a strike by the Portugese harbor pilots and the substituted stop of Gran Canary was not nearly as good.
Overall the ...
We selected this cruise as we wanted to see London. Good price and high obc. Princess continues to go downhill. Main dining room is bland. Desserts are repetitive. Buffet sausages taste like cardboard. Liquid eggs are used. The head waiter said he’d get me omelet made with fresh eggs. Shouldn’t have be like that . Pastries are frozen, some hadn’t been thawed out. The other head waiter told me it ...
This is our 21th cruise since the restart with seventeen on Princess. This trip took a more northerly course that cooled down the temperatures by day three. With none of the pools being heated (did not check the pool at the back of the ship), pools were colder than usual and not usable after day three.
Food was better than on previous cruises with some minor changes to the menu selections. ...
Summary first: In short, we had value for money even with the added cost of the Premium package as we could drink proper champagne and ‘Whispering Angel’ Cotes de Provence rose wine throughout the voyage. There were some positives but also negatives with this cruise such that we wouldn’t book a Princess cruise again.
The cabin was excellent (mini suite) with a very good layout having the sofa ...
We chose this cruise based on prior cruises with Princess and because of the itinerary. We thought it would be a good value for the experience. Overall this cruise was pleasant, but there were a lot of factors which prevented this from being a "five" value. Most of them appear to be at their root issues with management and systems (both design and implementation).
Most of the time each day we ...
We chose this transatlantic cruise so it’s not to have to endure an overseas flight after our land tour through Great Britain. It had interesting stops in Ireland, Norway and the Azores. On the eighth day of the cruise I fell while exiting a food line and was seriously injured. The treatment that I received from the crew and that ship was deplorable. I was told that we were at the Azores but the ...
We chose this cruise primarily for the destinations and the price. We are normally loyal to Celebrity Cruise Lines but we thought we would try this transatlantic cruise because it was somewhat less expensive than Celebrity for, what we thought, a similar product.
I'll start by saying that the staff on-board the ship are amazing. They are interested in making sure you have a good time and try ...
We thought Iceland would be impressive. It was. I wanted to see Cork. It was canceled. Ship was old, service was haphazard, crew didn’t understand or ignored requests.
Club Class dining was worth it, but didn’t like condescending attitude of wait staff, their inability to pronounce names, their insincere fawning. I am not “Lady” anyone; don’t call me that.
Pepper routine ridiculous, should ...
I spent a total of 34 days on this ship. 18 transatlantic to Canada, 3 stops in Iceland, Scotland, and England, then 16 days in Norway. I am an Elite Captain’s Circle Member on Princess with 27 cruises and over 250 days cruising with them. I have sailed on the Island Princess on 3 other occasions.
It is old and many decks had mold or sewage smells. I was in a port side extended balcony on ...
We chose this cruise to get from Florida to Europe. We knew the weather would be lousy and it lived up to expectations. What we didn’t expect was so much Covid on board that the masking rules were reimposed after our second port. As a result we avoided public areas and dining rooms thereafter.
The food in the main dining room was ok. The food in the cafeteria was made of extremely cheap ...
