Disappointing cruise

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Majestic Princess

We have traveled with Celebrity, Cunard, P & O and Princess and till now Princess was our clear favorite, but our experience over the past 3 weeks has left that favoritism in tatters! There were many negatives on this ship but I will start with some positives. The staff were all very helpful, polite and generally good at their jobs. The ship itself was extraordinarily stable with almost NO ...

Travelled to Asia to join Cruise and Shanghai embarkation was abysmal. After arriving at the allotted time we were shown to a holding lounge for a bus transfer. The bus arrived and all passengers were told to load their luggage into the bus as the driver would not open the doors under the bus- those of us who could load the bus did so and helped those who were unable to do so. The bus arrived at ...

Disappointing

Disappointing is the only way to describe this new ship, its layout is way behind the times and poor use of space. We were on board for 3 weeks and found the crew to be disinterested, not very energetic and there is a distinct lack of supervision. The food is not good particularly the buffet where food is prepared elsewhere and left to serve yourself was not hot, bland and repetitive. The ...

The repositioning cruise was chosen because it seemed to be well priced and was a nice way of returning to Australia. The ports were an annoying interlude between the sea days. No bridge Director on board yet lots of sea days. Sorry Princess now sailing on Cunard. On the previous leg the Cruise Director told the bridge Director they could take all the equipment if they wanted as they were ...

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Diamond Princess

This was our first cruise ever and we had expectations of a great time. We could not have been more disappointed and definitely will not cruise again on any cruise line after this experience. For a cruise that only had 2 ports in 12 days, the activities were uninteresting and repetitive. There is only so much towel folding one can take. We were also expecting a high standard of night time ...

We are relatively new to cruising with this being our 4th cruise. After being told how wonderful Princess is by experienced cruisers on previous voyages, and reading reviews that were complimentary in the main, we booked this 12 day cruise home to Sydney from Singapore as a Princess sampler. We understood Diamond had just completed a refurb in 2014 and were looking forward to a newish ship ...
