PRINCESS STANDARDS ARE SLIPPING

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Majestic Princess

We chose this cruise to use up some cruise credits after contracting Covid on a 21night Mediterranean cruise in 2023 and being isolated for a week. As we were in Sydney for other reasons, it was opportune to incorporate the cruise as well. Embarkation and Disembarkation were both quick and seamless. Despite having the required Princess profile photos, security are insistent on taking another ...

Too big, Too crowded, Average Food

We chose to go on this cruise with 2 other couples for a significant birthday. We had room which was classed as a mini suite however it was the same size as the normal balcony cabins. Queen bed was comfortable, the room itself was small and functional. The bathroom was particularly small and you could only use it one person at a time. We found the food menu/selection/quality very poor. If this is ...

Elite and worse trip ever.

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Royal Princess

As an elite member I have never been so disappointed. The food was awful. One day I was almost in tears because of the menu on the buffet, being gluten free I had very little options. I understand the MDR is much better option but if order a meal the day before sometimes I just don't get there. Case in point I ordered GF fish and chips for pub lunch but completely slept through it. ...

We are Platinum member of Princess. Signed up for Majestic Princess for two consecutive cruises starting 11/25/2023 to New Zealand and then 12/10/2023 to Australia. This cruise was to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday. Actually looked at cruise critic reviews of this ship with just average ratings before booking although being a long time Princess cruise supporter, believed it could just be ...

A very expensive cruise spoiled by changing our premier package week before we boarded - 6 out of 11 first cruise experience

We chose this cruise to go on holiday with a family of 11 since we travelled on board the Royal princess in 2015 for my brother's wedding on board. We travelled on Princess Majestic to Sydney and New Zealand in 2018 and it was brilliant - 5 out of 5. However, it appears since Princess have sold out to Holland American Lines from Cunard they want to a) charge you for everything that ...

We choose this cruise for us and a family as we had this booked before covid so it was special. Just to be disappointing embarking the ship almost impossible even though we were given a time slot which they did not follow through long line ups. No sail ways entertainment very poor, movies under the stars daytime not suitable for children Edward scissor and west side story just voices no movie ...

Standards are slipping, Princess

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Majestic Princess

Overall, and based on this cruise, I would say Princess’ standards are slipping. There are minor cut backs chipping away around the edges of what used to be a premium cruise line, perhaps due to the struggling parent company. The Good The room (mini-suite) was great, though I don’t know why they still use shower curtains. Perhaps that is because of the tub, and reduces cleaning? The only ...

So Disappointing

I wanted to go to Fiji to see the islands and to do some snorkeling. The thirteen day cruise consisted of only two days of going on the Islands, a stop in Lautoka (nothing there) Suva (dodgy and sleazy). There is no adult only pool ( as advertised) it was taken over by kids, as the barmen said it is not an enforced rule children in the Hollywood pool. Children put in life jackets in the ...

Disappointed with Princess for the first time.

We are just completing a New Zealand cruise from Australia on the Majestic Princess. We are Elite members of Princess and have cruised extensively with a number of cruise lines. We have always been happy with Princess before so it has been very disappointing to experience such poor service. We contracted covid on board. We found the medical team either overworked &/understaffed. The medical centre ...
