My 12th cruise with Princess, sadly my last one in any of the Princess ships constructed from the Majestic Princess onwards from 2017. The good points. Excellent service, mostly excellent food, good attitude by almost all of the crew I encountered, ship in excellent condition, a good variety and great level of entertainment throughout the ship. The stateroom, mini suite, was fine and the on ...

Initially we had chosen a cruise on Sun Princess but due to events we had to move to the Majestic. I was not unhappy about that because it was a new ship and a good size. Check in was great and boarding easy. The décor of the ship is great but that is about it to be honest. I have travelled over 300 nights on ships and I have to say the ship while beautiful was also ...

A never-to-be-forgotten journey on the Majestic Princess

The Majestic Princess is a beautiful, yet majestic cruise ship, which I recommend everyone single person in the world to set foot on. The cabins, staff, restaurants, activities and services were excellent. Our cabin, D535 on Deck 9 was immaculate every time I set foot in it; thus, I give special thanks to the room stewards of Dolphin Deck 9, Kong (China) and Neil (Philippines). As for the dining, ...

South Pacific and New Caledonia

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

Made for an inexpensive front for a back to back. Upon arrival at pier found staff to be rude and demanding when I requested to carry my bag onboard with me. LACK OF SINGLES ACTIVITIES! The first single get together was nonexistent as no cruise activity staff bothered to show up. All ports were easy to explore without spending any money for shore excursions. The food was good but ...

Before you embark on a cruise check the itineraryand the entertainment to see if it's going to be full of very old people. This cruise definitely catered for the zimmer brigade, even the night club was playing 50s walz music. mind you I wasn't sure if the DJ was alive during the cruise! Walz music with 1 couple on the floor, It's a night club!!!!! The stops around NZ were great and we had a ...

We chose this cruise as I had never done the South Pacific before. Embarkation was good and as we are Platinum card holders we were able to board at 11 AM which was great. The cabin was not available till 1 PM. Luggage was at our cabin by then. We first stopped off at Noumea. As it was a Sunday all the shops were closed. We caught a free shuttle to the centre of town as we docked in a container ...

Terrible Tenders

The Majestic Princess is a beautiful, opulent ship. The problem with the itinerary is that there are no ports for the ship to dock at, except for a container terminal in Brisbane where there is nothing to see at the dock. All other ports are visited via tenders to / from the ship, which take hours to get off and back onboard. Half the day is wasted waiting for tenders. Princess needs to ...

Wrong time of year for this destination

Missed feelings about this cruise. Overall we enjoyed our ten days, but not nearly as much as cruises on other ships. The Majestic Princess is a beautiful ship with lots of people on board, mini suite stateroom was lovely, but balcony small. Staff generally were very friendly and helpful. But for starters, we found Northern Queensland in December is not a good choice for a cruise as the weather ...

Good but some flaws

We are long time Princess Cruise customers who continue to patronize this cruise line in spite of some consistent frustrations. To some degree this is based on familiarity and is also because of the loyalty perks that we have earned. We were doing three back to back to back cruises in the Australian and New Zealand area. We managed to be on the same ship, in the same cabin, throughout all ...
