We are not new to cruising. We were travelling with two other couples from previous cruises. Stunningly large ship doesn’t always mean a great ship. Cruise was great ship less than good. We experienced a lot of negatives such as. Not enough pools, unsupervised Hollywood Observatory adults only pool and someone took their grandchild in who defacated in the pool meaning the closure of pool for 2 ...
Sailing date coincided with birthday. We cruise every two years and found this cruise to Noumea and Fiji fitted in with our holiday plans. lovely new and very large ship expertly crewed and managed. we enjoyed all the new features such as the Hollywood Pool, Spa and Conservatory. The speciality restaurants, Harmony and Grill were quite good but the French restaurant La Mer was a disappointment. ...
We went on the Majestic for a family getaway to Fiji...beautiful new ship with great crew and captain..all very helpful. Lovely cabin and steward, very spacious cabin with nice sofa and good bathroom. Priority Embarkation very quick, we were onboard by 11.30 am. Service was great throughout the ship, except the atrium area where it was too crowded ..all the time....and the poor staff where ...
We chose this cruise because it was one of only a few options going to Fiji, which was my son's choice for his grad trip. We haven't cruised Princess before and thought this one-year old ship would be a grand experience.
While owning "The Love Boat" theme and it's integration throughout was a cool touch, overall the ship and experience was average compared to other carriers / ships.
Cabin ...
Plenty of food but all the same lack of flavour, very bland/basic.
The ship seems to carry a huge amount of stored food so the fresh food / vegetables offered by the islands of the Pacific. Even water and soft drink was from Chinese suppliers that does not have the same safety standards as Australia.
Embarkation and disembarkation when docked at a pier was quick / easy. When anchored and ...
Wanted to go on New Ship. The Majestic Princess was beautiful,Is a fair bit bigger but soon got a handle on the layout. The extra passengers number only came as a problem on the mandatory safety briefing on the first evening when all the passenger have to assemble in there allocated stations on deck 7,once the crowed dispersed all was well.Good entertainment in a variety of location, always ...
we chose this cruise as the 1st 1 out of Aus.Embarkment and Disembarkment was SO easy.we had a splurge and booked a mini suite(room m222)and it was AWESOME,not far from the lifts at the front of the ship. The Staff were GREAT and nothing was a problem.the food was AWESOME,the noodle bar was Yum,had heaps of seafood on board, the Italian restaurant was great,we had dinner in the Crown Grill on the ...
We chose this cruise because we’ve always wanted to go to the South Pacific. It did not disappoint at all. We would definitely do this cruise again. We would like to try it on another ship. The Emerald Princess was in good shape. Most of the crew were very friendly and helpful. The food was just average. The worst thing about this cruise was how crowded it was when trying to go to anything. They ...
cruise chosen for the ports of call. embarkation was such a disaster it is difficult to be objective regarding princess cruise line. apparently the coast guard boarded the ship prior to disembarkation, which caused a huge delay in embarkation for this cruise. unfortunately the passengers were without information, food, water and any necessary items while waiting to embark. passengers with ...
We choose this cruise for a couple of reasons. First, it was going to Hawaii during our anniversary and second, we wanted a step up from Carnival. Step up it wasn't. Let me say that we will give Princess another try, just not on the Grand Princess. This ship needs to retire with all the issues it had with water leaks, toilet not flushing and not just your room toilets which was so un-sanitizing, ...
