The last time we cruised on Princess was a wonderful Panama cruise in 2017. After that, we decided we were done with cruising for a while until last fall when I saw a cruise leaving Galveston, 7 nights, Western Caribbean. It was in our budget, so we reserved a balcony cabin.
The ship is very beautiful inside, but overall the cruise was quite disappointing, mostly due to the poor quality of ...
The service was great and the crew were very attentive. Lots of people work on the ship and they tried very hard to please. The cabin steward kept our room clean. The waiters were very nice and did a good job. The food and entertainment were not that great. The dinner food was better than the food available in the buffet and room service, but none of it was that tasty. The specialty restaurants ...
What made this trip was the itinerary!!! I liked that we didn’t have to sign after each purchase with the uncomfortable feeling of needing to tip extra with our special drink and dining package. The ship didn’t feel crowded even though it was at full capacity. The ship was clean and staff was great. Carpets in halls need to be changed or shampooed. My room needed updated blow dryer. My mom had a ...
I decided to do this 14 day cruise with my family from Fort Lauderdale stopping at 8 ports. Ship was nice, Onboarding was great. Room service was ok. The restaurant dining was quite good. However, the buffet was absolutely horrendous. Almost every day, the menu was limited and boring. Food looked recycled... dry or overcooked, unappetizing, bad smell. Fruits were sour or tasted rotten... melon ...
We chose this holiday cruise because it sailed from Galveston, which allowed us, as Texas residents, to drive to the cruise port as opposed to fighting the usual holiday chaos in the airports. We generally like Princess as a cruise line (this is our 7th Princess cruise) and think it a cut above some of the other cruise lines sailing from Galveston. The timing of the cruise, December 17-27, also ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate a wedding anniversary and for the first time in over 50 years, celebrate Christmas at sea. We chose the CP because we'd been on this ship many years ago, and remembered it with great fondness. Sadly, the old girl is showing her age in many ways...
CABINS: the cabins need to be updated, the bland colours and furnishings are aged and any repairs have been ...
Check-In
When arriving at the terminal in Sydney it was just under 30deg.C and we couldn't believe the length of the queue. Once inside the terminal (and in the shade), we were faced with further massive queues. Eventually collected our medallions and were ready to join another massive queue.
Cabin (Stateroom)
Very clean and looked after by the excellent Fernando.
Ship
Very well ...
First off I’ve been on 18 past cruises several lines .. No beginner here! Went aboard open minded , street fights while in line to board. 6 hour delay in ship taking pasangers. Ok this is life. Conditions change in ports. Ok .. but. Finally boarding elderly/ handicapped folks got no expedited assistance from port folks. Zip nada wait in line sucker. Nothing ! Felt like a rock concert. Was ...
The good:
- Our room was ready when we got on the ship.
- The food was excellent. The beef tenderloin was truly the best we have had on any ship.
- We had anytime dining and arrived between 5:15 - 5:30 p.m. The maximum we had to wait was 10 minutes for a table.
- Puerto Rico was one of our ports and we loved it. We did the Princess walking tour. Our guide used a microphone and we ...
I have been a long time loyal Princess cruiser, but sadly no more. There are so many things I used to like. It really breaks my heart to write a bad review. Previously, I have always been impressed with their customer service, doing things for me that they did not need to do, in an effort to make a bad situation somewhat better, like not getting my luggage on Enchanted Princess (Not cruise ...
