I enjoyed my cruise but there were some issues. Issues first...a chair collapsed under my husband when we were at drum circle with him hitting his head. It was suggested he be checked out at medical. first thing they said $95 even though it was a breakdown in Princess equipment. It took about 5 days, many visits to customer service and medical, reports written to finally get that $95 credited off our statement. The good part is that we enjoyed the cruise and all the available activities. We thought they were fun and unique. Loved the line dancing, Zumba, Drum Circle and crew that led them. Shows were good, but the theater was too small and uncomfortable. You had to arrive 1 hour before the show to get a seat where people were not walking all over you to get a seat. The theater filled up at every show to standing room only. Although the crew were very efficient, they were not engaging with the passengers except for very few. Embarkation and disembarkation was very smooth. The Southern itinerary to the ABC islands was excellent. We had D215 which was a mini suite. Great room...highly recommended. Read Less

We chose this cruise as it was out of San Francisco as there was no flight involved. We arrived at the Pier around 1245 and we were on board at 130pm. Princess assigned us a number and when that number was called, we were allowed to board. Overall , really easy system to board. Our cabin was ready, Aloha deck near the aft. Nice cabin. Everything was clean. One thing I will say is the crew on this ship went over and above. They killed us with kindness which was nice to see. This was an older crowd ship and an older ship. The ship is in very good condition for 20 years old, and the crew keeps it in fine shape. The good was good to very good most of the time. The Italian restaurant Sabatinis was wonderful and the food excellent. The International cafe always had something tasty to eat and the Baristas are second to none. The shows were fun and entertaining, from comedy, to magic to musicals and dances.. The only drawback is if you expect all the bells and whistles , you will be disappointed. If you want to relax, have fun and enjoy a nice ship, then she is for you.. Read Less

This particular cruise was sailing from Sydney at the perfect time to launch our three month tour of Australia and New Zealand. We selected a Club Class cabin which we would highly recommend. Our designated dining room, the Santa Fe, was beautifully appointed and the service was excellent, thanks Patchie. We are very active people so two weeks aboard ship was just the right amount of time for us. The destinations were interesting; our favourite being the tiny island of Dravuni. We booked a recommended excursion in Lifou, New Caledonia, out first port of call. It was described as a tour of the area and a stop at Luecila Beach. The tour guide on the bus spoke English haltingly, she did her best but it fell short. Not because of her language skills but rather due to the fact that the bus did not have a PA system and we couldn’t hear what she was saying. We were dropped off at a beautiful beach but it offered only one rickety shaded area, very primitive, too primitive in my opinion. Based on that experience, we decided to forego organized excursions at the other ports. We purchased a special thermal package at the spa for 309.00 each. Let that be a lesson to us, never again. And to whomever is reading this, trust me it is not worth it! The heated loungers were always occupied although we were assured that they were never fully occupied. One of the saunas did not work and the so called rainfall shower was absolutely awful! The temperature control knob came off in my hand and I had to quickly step out of the shower as the water became dangerously hot. We complained at the spa itself as well as the customer service desk, to no avail. But overall our cruise experience was enjoyable; we would recommend it. Read Less

We choose it because of the different ports like suva , savusavu ect.But I found it a little disappointing there was no (24/7 international cafe), the buffet restaurant closes at (11pm) the mini golf advertised was hard to find at first and when you finally found it there was only putters hanging around and not a( ball ) insight. So I suggest you bring your own if you want to have a game.Tours over priced and very different to the adverting on voucher for example ( Deep Sea Fishing big scam) don't waste your money you would be lucky to catch a fish at all and is you catch one it would be no bigger than your hand. it is just bottom sea fishing. However Fiji Islands are very beautiful for swimming, snorkeling or shopping very good value for money. The cabin staff and dinning staff really make you feel good about the cruise. Read Less

we took this cruise because of timing 21 days was just right however we did not realise when we booked that in fact this was a 2 cruise sector going up and down from Singapore . however the cruises were fine the ship is getting a bit jaded but overall is good the service was first class the meals were fine and our cabin C105 was very good and plenty of space and quiet what we did not like was the lack of staff to enforce the rules regarding kids in the adult swimming pool as sometimes the pool was so full of kids it was impossible to get in it. also formal dining is a joke people walked in with t shirts and short pants why have formal nights if you state formal enforce the rule in the dining room otherwise don't bother to have formal nights we have sailed with many other companies such as Holland America and P&O UK and the rules are enforced Read Less

We chose the Panama Canal cruise because it was on our bucket list. The itinerary was great. We felt the cruise was overbooked, understaffed and over priced. Everything on board was pricey - excursions, drinks, photos and shops. Our 2 independent excursions were excellent. The ships excursions were not. The pastries were excellent. The rest of the food did not match the standards we expected especially the Horizon Court and the ice cream. Pizza on deck was very good. The entertainment was very good but we were not able to enjoy much of it because of the over crowding. If you wanted to view these offerings, you needed to get there a half hour early. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful, often going above and beyond their call of duty. The Promenade deck now has cabins at the rear and the walking track on the Lido has the pricey Sanctuary in back, thus no complete circuits or rear view. Princess was our go to cruise line - 8 times. We began to notice these same problems on our last cruise with them. We feel we no longer get the quality experience we are paying for. So, Princess, bye-bye! Read Less

We always wanted to complete a Panama canal cruise. We decided on the full transit because the itinerary had several beautiful stops on both the Caribbean and Pacific side. Except for Aruba we arranged our own tours or did our own thing. Scuba diving at Aruba was very good. I would recommend it. One reason we enjoy Princess is very few children on Princess cruises. They cater more towards a mature adult theme. A few things for Kids to do but not a lot. The crew was fantastic. Captain Michele Tuvo was the best Captain we have seen on a cruise ship. He was always visible and talking with guests. He also has a great sense of humour. We feel he is the standard by which all Cruise Ship Captains should aspire too. Embarkation & Disembarkation with Princess is always well organized and quick. The ship is getting a bit dated though. The center court is cramped and there is no international cafe on this ship. Specialty coffee and occasionally some finger foods is available at center court. We also did not like the new location of the Horizon court at the front of the ship. We miss being able to sit outside at back of ship. Our room was a bit cramped but we had a large shower in bathroom. The other two couples we traveled with they could barely move in shower but a slightly larger room. Our room at the back of ship was a bit noisy on rough sea days. A pipe was banging within walls. Entertainment quality was mixed. Several nights the entertainment was not enjoyable and other nights the entertainment was fantastic. The food was very good. We always have great meals on Princess. Lineups for dinner when a good show was playing later was a bit of a challenge. Everyone wanted to eat and see the show. Overall I still highly recommend this cruise. A balcony is nice to sit and watch the transit of the locks. Read Less

Went with friends but was disappointed with Princess. We left from Adelaide but was made to feel that the Adelaide portion was an add on. We were told on two separate occasions from the desk that the cruise didn't start until Melbourne. Really made us feel unwanted. Couldn't book the Ultimate Ship Tour until Melbourne. We had to get off in Melbourne (whether we wanted to or not) and by the time we got back on the Tour was booked out. NOT HAPPY. Had trouble getting the two coffee cards we had booked and prepaid for. Finally given a slip of paper to collect one after arguing and then told they would sort the other one out after Melbourne. Argued with them again and was finally the next day was sent a GIFT! voucher to collect the second one... Big joke as we prepaid more than what it would have cost us on board, then, were sent a gift voucher! Booked one shore excursion with Princess and waited over 30 minutes to be taken ashore for it. The Excursion left 45 minute late. Booked a private one online and it left on time, cost much less than the Princess one and was perfectly run. Read Less

Because it was leaving from Adelaide and returning to Adelaide that made this cruise very appealing to us, ment we didn't have to fly anywhere before, the timing was great for us and the destinations also were very appealing. The price wasn't restrictive for us and we really didn't know what to expect because it was our first cruising experience, We felt the overall experience was wonderful and will be seriously looking at doing another cruise to a different region in the very near future. We found the staff on all levels friendly and very professional unfortunately some of the passengers didn't show Australia in a very good light, but I guess you get all types on a cruise with so many passengers. We found the shows in the theares wonderful and the movies also very acceptable, the only bad movie was called the Final Portrait it stared geoffrey Rush but as a movie it was terrible. Read Less

We took this cruise as we wanted to see if we could handle the big ship on Princess. We loved it. The cruise director was best ever, entertainment was great and the food was out of this world. Been on Princess many times but not for a few years but after this cruise it really is my favorite cruise line. Went on RCCL Serenade in November, along with Celebrity Reflection did back to back to compare, then this time we went on Regal Princess and Kongsingdam back to back in Jan. Princess for the 4 of us was hands down the favorite. Warm pools, help was Happy and Helpful and the only dissapointing thing was St Martin is still not to where it was but coming along. There was two couples but we enjoyed all of the entertainment, deck party and the cruise director was the funniest we ever had and was everywhere. We ate 1 night in Steak House and all had fillet that melted in your mouth. We all wished we had stayed on this ship and not got on Holland America. Read Less
