Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Island Princess

Our Island Princess Cruise was scheduled with an itinerary from Dubai to the Red Sea / Suez Canal to the Greek Islands to Italy. Due to world events, Princess deleted the itinerary and substituted a new segment from Cape Town to Rome through the eastern Mediterranean. This was our 45th wedding anniversary trip and we had targeted the Greek Isles as a bucket list item to check-off. Princess ...

We chose this as our bucket list cruise around the world. First the two items that were positive about this cruise: 1.The cabin stewards and the personnel in the Horizon Cafe were terrific when it came to service 2.The Horizon Cafe Buffet had a great selection of food which was well prepared and had a tremendous variety. Unfortunately those are the only god things I can report about this ...

Great itinerary, generally good execution

Chose the Ft. Lauderdale to Fort Lauderdale world cruise for the excellent scheduled itinerary. Was a bit concerned about the reconfiguration of the ship that replaced the aft lounge with additional cabins. Also concerned about general age and condition of ship based on reviews. The delivered itinerary exceeded expectations, even with a number of ports cancelled due to weather. Princess ...

World Cruise - not a true World Cruise - Do Not Waste your money or time

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Island Princess

A World Cruise (WC) was on my bucket list and Princess is our preferred Cruise Line (4 of us). This was NOT a cruise I would repeat nor recommend. The Island Princess is old and needs A LOT of repairs - rust, mildew, mold, water leaks, cabin entry doors not opening and more. All major safety issues - I worked in Transportation Safety for over 20 years and Island is NOT a safe ship unless it has ...

We booked our World Cruise while on Antartica cruise 2020 on the Coral Princess. We had such a good time we decided to book the World Cruise 2021. The cruise was pushed to 2023 due to covid. Island Princess was rusty from the day we boarded Jan05. The entire ship was rusty. The sea witch logo was crying rust tears. The menu in the dining for 111 days never changed. We never had a hot meal. The ...

We wanted to do a transatlantic cruise and we thought Princess would be a great choice for this. Embarkation in Barcelona was chaotic and slow, but all went very well after. Koror Montenegro was a surprise - the old city is fascinating. The itinerary through the Mediterranean was terrific. The food was very good to excellent and the buffet particularly impressed. We ate about half our dinners in ...

It seems they have sorted out many of the problems associated with the seacations. Covid testing at the terminal was efficient and results arrived swiftly. We were on board, visited our cabin and were in the dining room for lunch by 12.30. Food, service, housekeeping were all excellent. Sabatini’s and the Symphony restaurants were a pleasure to eat in. Alfredo’s was also very good. Crown ...

We sailed on this ship for a seacation in August 2021, everything worked well, so we thought lets go again. Thats where we were mistaken as things didn't go anywhere near as well as they should have. 1. On the August cruise we had liked our Medallions so much we decided to order specla ones. Apparently these come from USA and have a 30 days battery life. Well after 2 days on board first one ...

Several issues on Princesses' first internationalbpoard cruise in 2021

We departed Southampton late as a coach bringing passengers had one person testing Covid positive resulting in all 60 on the coach having to return home and their vacation cancelled. Given the damning Diamond Princess episode passengers were not challenged for ignoring the requirement to wear a mask and no Covid testing took place throughout the entire cruise. Covid could have been brought ...

Emerald Princess is a Good Ship With a Great Crew

We went on this cruise because it was a good value. 29 days with prepaid gratuities and $1000 onboard credit in a balcony for around $4000 each. It sailed from Barcelona to Los Angeles (home) through the Panama Canal (our first time). The ship was refurbished in April. We had not been on this ship before but some people said it was all new inside. The crew was great. Very friendly and they did ...
