Big is Better? For a Princess Cruises Shareholder?

I guess the size of your dividend matters if you hold Princess Cruises shares but the size of the queues matters if you are a passenger on their new giant ships. And I really wonder how much longer the wonderful crews they employ can keep carrying their reputation and where the cruise industry is heading with the number of passengers they are cramming onto their ships. OK this was our 8th ...

FOOD Worst Bacon and Coffee of any cruise ship. Poached eggs came out without and white - just a yolk. Worst breakfast Service ever - 45 minutes for eggs to arrive. Cold toast turned up 5 minutes later. It was only an 8 day cruise but repetion of menu wasn't great. None of these had a huge impact on overall experience. We didn't starve :) SHIP Worst designed Ship we've sailed on. ...

Disappointing

Compared to previous Princess cruises, this was definitely a step down in service, food, entertainment. The ambiance of cruising was not there. No dress code for the MDR. Food service slow… MDR was akin to eating at the local diner. The staff did not make the experience ‘special’. Limited engagement with the waitstaff..more of a serve and get it over with vibe. Orders were sometimes ...

Seems like Princess are skimping on staff. Distinct lack of drinks waiters. Having to wait up to 20 minutes for a waiter to come by. Cost of drinks very expensive. Basic glass of wine $15.one would think that it would pay to have extra staff as this is where a lot of money is made. Food was great. Entertainment excellent. We only took x1 Princess excursion as they were ridiculously expensive, a ...

We were travelling with friends from a previous cruise. There The ship is dated. The external appearance is worn. The interior fittings in looked dark and out of style but The cabin decks carpets looked worn. The ship layout was confusing having travel up and down decks to reach the rear restaurant. ,,, The medallion app was great and easy to use, streamlining drink orders etc. ...

Check-In When arriving at the terminal in Sydney it was just under 30deg.C and we couldn't believe the length of the queue. Once inside the terminal (and in the shade), we were faced with further massive queues. Eventually collected our medallions and were ready to join another massive queue. Cabin (Stateroom) Very clean and looked after by the excellent Fernando. Ship Very well ...

Perception only few hundred on board when there were 2,000 passengers - smaller ship great for older people

We took the 14 day New Zealand cruise from Brisbane on 4th December 2023. Worrying about reviews written about the age and state of the ship we were pleasantly surprised. As it is older the corridors are wider, and we weren’t packed in like sardines. The carpet is just like that in the RSL clubs. We took Aloha mini suite. Whilst it not as wide as others the rounded balcony has the best views by ...

My wife and I and another couple who joined us, had New Zealand on our bucket list and found the cruise itinerary to be very interesting. I have to say the embarkation and debarkation process was outstanding, including going on port calls. Princess has that down pat. We only wish the amount of staff was available throughout the ship. We loved our room and our cabin steward. We have never been ...

I have done many cruises with Princess, and the Royal, which is now in Australia for the first time was a big disappointment. Not the crew, they were great as usual, but the cabin set up - no USB ports at all, two USA powerpoints and one European one. Everyone has a mobile phone - have to to use the Medallian app - but no where to charge it! Breakfast had the most choices in the buffet - ...

Balcony room was great, no issues at all. Though we did hear a few stories from other peoples cabins - no air conditioning, no hot water.. Bed was super comfortable, shower was great.. Food in the Horizon Court was always luke warm, and some surprsing omissions like plain biscuits. MDR menu was not vegetarian friendly, very limited options. Service throughout was excellent. Really ...
